Two Faces

Take a close look at the man and woman pictured here before reading further. .......... .......... ........ ........ ............. .......... ............ ........... ............. ........... You probably noticed a resemblance. But it's more than that. These two pictures are the same face, unaltered, no make-up, nothing. They're actually the same picture. The only difference is that different contrast was applied. This demonstrates how just a subtle shading alters our assumption of gender.

It's just something I ran acrossed on a photography discussion somewhere, I thought it was interesting.

I think that thought can also be used in makeup tricks etc. (but I'm sure it already is)

There are a lot of videos on the web about using makeup to alter the look of the face.

I'm actually very interested because of that, too. I'm learning different techniques, mostly trying to know what can I do with simple things like shading, blush and whatnot. For me, make-up is a whole new world, and strangely enough, I'm lovin' it so far. Or maybe it's not so strange. Gosh, the things you can learn about yourself...

Isnt it odd how as we move along as the "real us" that so many girly things just seem so natural :)  I love that!!

It actually looks like the same pic entirely. It looks like it's just been softened with photo shop with the defuse glow setting!

If it were two genuine separate pictures why has the one on the left less prominence, definition and clarity? it has been softened up cosmetically with a computer software program.

This makes sense to me. I was going through a time where I would get up in the morning and look at myself in the mirror. All I could see was a man but then other days I would get up and look in the same mirror and see all women. The light shining through the window highlighted things that made me look more male and on the other days it was cloudy outside hiding the things that made me look more male. Yes, I had to know why this was happening. I'm like that it turned into an observation thing for me.

I pass in the winter almost all the time. cloudy
I don't pass in the summer, sunny.

I have been trying to understand how to make the same affect with make up. All I have learned so far is I need better make up that last longer. It don't take long to sweet it off.

Even people around me were driving me crazy. One would say maam the next would say sir. I am wondering what was giving me away to the one and the other only saw a woman.

It has been crazy. My favorite one was the new guy at work that had no idea what the he** I was. our the next new guy who thought I was just a women that liked working out. I least I know no one is talking about me anymore at work all the new people are starting to have no clue. I'm finally old news.
