Title: where to buy brest straps or breast bands to hide my growing breasts
Post by: Achila on June 30, 2012, 12:53:52 AM
My nipples are getting huge, and pointy. I need to hide for the time being because I am not out yet at work and so on.. I might have to wear some breast bands but do not know where to find them.
anyone??

You shouldn't squeeze something that is growing. I'm pretty sure the growth will suffer in some way. I would advise buying a sports bra your size (don't go for smaller because you think it might make them more apparent), which should take care of the nipples. As for the rest, the only answer I know is huge clothes. Something that might make you look fat and thus pass your breasts off as gynecomastia, or just blur their appearance.

If you need more tips, you might want to ask some FTMs what they do/did to conceal their source of dysphoria when they couldn't/can't bind for a reason or the other. I'm sure they'd have much better tips than most of the girls here.

Best thing you can do is buy a sport bra and wear baggy clothes you should NOT bind growing breasts it's gonna hurt a lot and it's simply not advisable.

Buy an A-line t-shirt (a.k.a wife beater t-shirt).  Wear looser tops.

And if some one says something, just call them "moobs". (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FAnimals%2Fferret-7.gif&hash=9f27f1603b9ef76a5d4bbeedcd1615f680c36e8b)

I agree with the other ladies, wear a sports bra or under shirt. If you are thin like I am, and someone says something you can pass them off as pecks for a while. I had to start doing that this week. People actually buy that they are just pecks.

There's always Spanx for Men:

The one I have is like a wife-beater, but it's like a compression top for the whole entire upper body. I used sports bras, but in the summer they're a little harder to hide since the outline shows from behind. Anyway, your new boobs look like pecks once you have this thing on.

Just a quick suggestion, as after 3 years of HRT I have the same problem.

I have found though that the best way is buy and wear darker clothing.  Black shirts are much more concealing than white.

And always try it on first...you would be surprised at the difference in fabrics also.  Avoid synthetics, and go with linens or cotton.

But try the colors...really works.

Still kicking here...    Flo

PS...I detest the wokd MOOBS!!!!!

Maybe you should have come out at work before you thought about starting HRT?

I already came out at work, but my company wont let me use female uniform until my documents reflect F. I wont change my legal gender untill I can pass so in the mean time these few changes in my body will have to be hidden

Totally agree - blacks are soooo much more concealing than lighter colours. I find myself wearing a dark t-shirt most days.

Also, layering clothing can help. If you wear a top and a zip-up top over it, it can disguise your body shape. Similarly, sports compression tops can give you a more neutral outline too.
