Hi switchZoEy,
Perhaps you can google the major cosmetics companies for web sites. They have how to videos. I use MAC. Youtube, search make up. Go to a big store cosmetics dept. & have a staff assess your skin tone to match foundation & powder. By a book on cosmetics. Pharmacy, big store & the brand names that have their own counter may well do makeovers. If you do the latter, ask what they are doing each step of the way. Eyebrows will need to be trimmed. Pluck with tweezers. I very carefully use scissors & occasionally my razor to shape the brows.
Hope this helps heading you in the right direction & good luck.

Hi, I think your eyebrows are a great place to start. Here's what I did. I went to a beauty school, one of those places where young beautiful women train to be cosmeticians and offer services at really low prices. I had my face waxed for $6 and my eyebrows tweezed for $2. I simply told the girl working on me that I wanted the most feminine eyebrows possible. I'm really happy with the result and I felt so calm and relaxed being worked on by a girl. I would recommend doing this. Of course the down side for you anyway, if you aren't a person trying to transition, is that you're face is going to look feminine for quite a while till your eyebrows regrow--which may take up to a month or two.

Are you wanting to go as far as makeup? or just work with what you have at the moment?
If you are working with what you have, some good suggestions have already been made (eyebrows). Personally i'd grow my hair our longer (if i had hair  ) and work with my clothes and jewelry. You don't have to wear a dress; there are lots of choices of femme clothes that could be taken either as male or female clothing by the average person. Assuming that you'll want to start out slow - you'll just have a shirt with buttons on the "wrong" side, or jeans without usable pockets in the front, or shoes that aren't a usual color for guys.
If you are willing to try some make up you can go for a mild approach (think david bowie or steven tyler) and apply some eyeliner.
Just think thru each change and make sure it will fly with your daily routine (your job, your s/o, etc) before you adopt it, especially changes that take awhile to grow back.

Slow is Good! I can definitely try the clothes out little things like that always seem to escape me. If i wear a 34/32 what shall i do about jeans? I love the look of girls jeans they look so comfy :D I've become a huge fan of tighter fitting things it feels like an all day hug! I'm not above makeup at all! My job already thinks I'm weird so no biggie there. I keep looking at my eye brows and wondering how femme i can go at the moment. Thanks for helping! !

I'm 32/33 in the waist and find 12s will usually fit, and sometimes 10s fit depending on the brand, but are a little snug. Since you are 34 in the waist that should give you an idea of where to start with sizing.
To quickly gauge whether something will fit - before you leave home take your existing pants and fold them double at the waist like they are on the hanger and then take a measurement of the size of the folded pant against your arm. When you are shopping use that arm measurement when you are looking at femme clothes to gauge the fit.
Welcome to the wacky world of women's sizing.

I do most of my shopping online, and occasionally at thrift stores. I tend to shop at kohls a lot; i get their sales emails and i get free shipping and can return stuff that doesn't fit to a local store instead of paying to ship it back. I buy a lot of kohl's "apt 9" brand (bottoms and shoes).
Unfortunately i have an upper body like a linebacker (apple shaped) and it's hard to find tops that hide that.

Hi, I think your eyebrows are a great place to start.
I agree. Zoey, you may first start plucking fine hairs under your eyebrows using tweezers. I hope you can see the difference.
