Title: based on my photo do you think I will need any facial surgery?
Post by: Shawn Sunshine on August 14, 2012, 02:20:00 PM
Ok I am not sure I really want any facial surgery, from what i can see maybe my nose is too big, but i can't see what you can see, so give me some honest advice, and how much it will cost me? (note i have not even yet taken any hormones)

I think that your face is nicely rounded... which, in my opinion, lessens the necessity of FFS much more so than having a hard-chiseled face (which is what I'm up against).

In short, I vote "no".

Well sweetie you have a weight issue, which I'm sure you are aware of.

I mention this, because IF you shed some weight I THINK, your chin might become more prominent than it is now.

As far as brow-ridge is concerned I don't think you will need any work done there.

So far for my opinion... but weight... hum... you know then :)

I might suggest waiting until you have reached your weight goal.  Your face is going to change as you lose weight and anything you have done before then might be a waste of money.

Also the hormons will change your face. So wait before you make any judgment. Maybe your nose and your chin to consider

If I were you I'd put surgery on the bottom of my list of possible to-dos-- as a final resort. It's expensive and does have risks. If you're going to do HRT, that will probably make some noticeable changes. As Axélle mentioned, simply loosing weight could change your face quite a bit. You really need to do that anyway if for no other reason that for the benefit of your general health. You can't be a happy woman if you're a sick (or dead) and obesity is not a trivial matter.

To me, the shape of your face doesn't send any distinctly masculine signals. I can't really see that changing it through surgery would gain you much in looking more feminine.
