Title: Consigned to the Past - Name Change

When I filed the paperwork some time back, there was an option on the form relative to the birth certificate, whether to simply add the new name to the existing certificate or 'seal' the old one and re-publish a completely new one with only "Rhonda Courtney Wallace" on it.
Mine admittedly was an emotional decision, but I elected to do the latter.
The past is past and the future is now.

Indeed this is the path that I would have elected as well. Leave the old behind to moulder in the dustbins of the bygone and let the new march forward and shine!
Congratulations Rhonda Courtney Wallace!

Good for you, Rhonda Courtney!
I'll be making a name change in the future as well, although I'm not changing the birth certificate. For me, I'll be happy with having my name and gender correct on my driver's license, Beverly Michelle.
Congrats!
Bev

Quote from: rhonda13000 on April 16, 2007, 08:03:25 PMI wish it could be that easy for me. Oh, there was a checkbox on the form all right. But I wasn't born in this state. So I have to do it the hard way.
