Title: Time to cover the ladies?
Post by: Penny Gurl on August 20, 2012, 11:04:07 AM
How far into HRT until you found it necessary to cover up your budding ladies? I'm at the point where changes are starting to happen and in fact will not even go out with out an undershirt on.  I don't think I'm showing that much but I really can't describe it other than I really feel like I need to have something on under my shirt.  So here I am at the beach for a few days and really want to even out my skin... however I'm not sure it would be proper in take my top off! I'm not to the point of needing a bra but i am well.. kinda pointy and puffy  ??? any thoughts or advise?

I usually don't worry about concealing mine unless I'm at work since no one there knows my situation. But when working, I have stopped wearing light weight or form fitting tees/ tops & I'm about 4 months in on my hrt.

Not many options for that in Illinois  :(

I did think about that though.  Thankfully since school is back in and this beach had been closed for the past year because of storm damage there are some pretty empty patches that I could chill at.

Month five or six, somewhere around there... might have been awkward if I had no shirt on at any time.

Thankfully, I'm almost never in a situation where that's a consideration.

I'm past ten years on HRT and prefer to present androgynously. Others say, "You must either present as male or female!" I say, "Your rules, not mine, I present as me and if you're not comfy with that, tough nuts kid!"  :) The beach is yet another matter!

I am just over a year into my HRT and find that I can't wear tight T's without people staring.  ::) Must say, I kinda enjoy the stares!!  >:-)

I've always been a bit top heavy, even as a kid. So I was not all that self concious untill I was into full A territory. Even then, given the plethora of "Man boobs" I don't worry. However, in my case, there is a drastic difference between my male and female presentations. So no chance of making people wonder about me if they caught me topless.

Hi Penny,

I say get yourself an itty bitty bikini top and surrender to the joy of second puberty!

At 36DD, I long ago gave up any notion of not drawing attention to myself if I'm going to be topless in a public space ... it's all good!

Hugs!

with the end of the season I was thinking about picking one up on clearance for next year, then the thought occurred that next year it may not fit!

I am in cardio rehab, and every old fat man there has moobs.

You are probably okay, until you are at the bra stage.

It was at I think. 4 months. I was on the E shots so it came fast and a friend noticed and asked about it. That in between stage sucked cuz you can't go topless at the beach but can't do a bikini yet either.

Well those E shots did it for you, must be some good family DNA in the mix. Best keep them high and tight so they don't go south on you dear! Kudos!

I'd be thinking about a swim shirt or rash guard if you're still presenting male.  I'm probably going to get one for this summer as my nipples may be getting a bit interesting to look at by then.

Month 3-4 or somewhere thereabouts. Basically, as soon as you notice that you can see them changing the outline of your shirt is what's appropriate.

When you breasts start budding. My nipples grew in size, quite quickly. My nipples looked female a month into HRT, so I started wearing something to cover them

Well I never had the typical flat male chest or smaller nipples so I was alwas self consious about my chest anyway.  I swear I had to be XXY or something because I've always been pretty fit and such. About a month in the areolas were starting to round out more and now just under four months I have enough growth to cup my hand around. But I just don't think it'm to the point of NEEDing a bra yet.. but maybe a sports bra?

I started hrt feb 15th 2012. I went full time I believe April 11th? Anyways, it was sometime at the begining of April, and I was wearing a bra (obviously) and the bra, a 32a, was defenitely supporting something. I think I should move to a b cup now.
Also, maybe a month, month and a half on hrt, I could no longer wear my favourite Kappa soccer jerseys for when id run. They were way too tight, and too many people would do double takes for my comfort. Well, it was flattering actually ;)

Similar dates and progress...21 Feb 2012 HRT, and FT on/about 15 May (name change 12 June). I "jiggle" if I shake my chest left/right, and my hand can cup *most* of the breast. My shirt drapes over the girls (shirt hangs free underneath)...

For my own peace of mind, I'd wear a top if I were to go swimming/sunbathing. I'm shy with my ladies... ;)

I followed a big bang approach.. Started HRT in November 2010 and went full time the same time.. IT took a lot of planning.

I am now one year into hrt and there is no way I can go to the beach without wearing a sun shirt.  They just don't look like moons.  Too pointy.  I have found that some materials for the sun/swim shirts are better than others.  The really thin material really clings to you and draws attention.  Dark and thicker material is what works.
best of luck
