My name is Jamie, which is kind of funny to be born with a unisex name and then wind up questioning one's gender.
I don't really know where to a start - I was born a woman, and up until recently felt OK about that. I really just woke up one day and felt horribly wrong, and I've never heard of that happening before, so I've been afraid to reach out to anyone about it because I don't think they will take me seriously, and a lot of days I'm not sure they should. It's all happening so fast - in a matter of months, I've gone from happily woman to feeling choked when someone calls me one - and it's all complicated by the fact that I'm a feminist activist and don't know what I'd do if I weren't welcome in woman-only spaces anymore.
Anyways. I'm super happy to have found this forum, given that the local all genders clinic has a wait list months long (but at least we have one! Go Vancouver.) I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and learning lots!
