Title: Stockpiling Delestrogen - Refrigeration?
Post by: rhonda13000 on April 20, 2007, 09:28:31 PM
My prescription is written in such a way where I can acquire paid refills with less than half of the vial expended.

Consequently, I have a growing stockpile of the hormone suspension.

It seems reasonable, but I am hardly a chemist: would refrigeration ensure the potency of the product for storage, or would such damage it?

As long as you use the medication in question prior to its expiration date, refrigeration will not damage it.

tink :icon_chick:

P.S. not a chemist, but in the pharmacy business. ;)

You know, I havnt a clue LoL... I just keep mine in a dark cool cabinet... Im pretty sure it should be fine reguardless so long as you use it before the experation date... if you plan on keeping it longer?!?!  dont know if thats healthy or if refrigeration will really make any diffrence....  its suspended in an oil which dosnt degrade in most cases... Maby I should just ask LoL

My vial of Delestrogen explicitly says 'Store at Room Temperature' on it, so I'm not sure if refrigeration is necessary. As long as you use it before the expiration date, I agree that it should be fine either way.

Delestrogen is as thick as molasseses at room temperature, you can imagine trying to pull it out of the vial after it's been refrigerated!  ;D

And then can you imagine getting an estrogen headache like an ice cream headache from injecting refrigerated estrogen!  ;D ;D
