Title: Do you take Spironolactone in separate doses or all at once?

I just want to know if let's say you took two pills of spiro a day, whether you'd take them together or in two separate doses? Does it make a difference? In order to not violate board rules, I am not discussing the specific dosage.

3 or 4 doses per day depending on the daily doses. This way you would maintain a more constant blood concentration

When I took Aldactone, I split the doses for twice per day.
There is no problem with splitting.

When I first started, I asked my gyno about splitting doses, she told me it will make no difference.

Thanks for the replies. I figured it wouldn't make too much of a difference, but thought I'd ask just in case.

I'm not transgender and I think this will be my only post here. I'm taking spironolactone as a last resort for acne. I've had acne for 15 years and done Accutane to no avail. The Spiro so far seems to be making my skin worse (so many blackheads), but I'm going to give it time before making any conclusions..

You don't need to be transgendered to be our friend! Stick around and meet some great people. Hugs, Devlyn
