Title: Injection question.
Post by: Darrin Scott on September 13, 2012, 04:45:12 PM
Hey all,

I've been on T for a little while and I'm wondering about last weeks injection. Right around the injection site there is a hard bubble underneath the skin. I don't know if I got a air bubble in there. Should I go to a hospital? Will it be ok?

Just a guess, it is not air. I think that you got T under the skin instead of intramuscularly. I think that some people are actually injecting under the skin these days. It is supposed to work. I don't know much about T injections but I used to give myself allergy shots. I got a huge lump of allergy meds right under the skin like this. Very weird. But I was ok. (Also it is common to give sick pets large amts of water right under the skin like this.)

A possibility is that you injured yourself somewhat. I have heard fo this before. You could call a doctor or even a pharmacist for more info.

Disclaimer: I have no medical background and I don't take T (yet).

I'm guessing maybe it just hasn't moved much. Did you massage the area? I had a hard bump about 5 injections ago and it went away. Of course, I'm not a doctor. If it hurts a lot, I could at least call your doctor's office and ask the nurse if it is something to worry about.
