Susan's Place Transgender Resources

I have been lurking here for a month or so and this is my big step in joining a community who understands certains aspects of my struggle through life, my struggle to accept that part of myself I kept shoving back inwards, and the excitement but overwhelming nervousness of finally allowing those close to me, (my friends and just recently my parents) to know who I really am and what I've been struggling with.

How did I find out about here? I actually stumbled upon this place when looking for reviews on the reelmagik basic packer after finally deciding in june I wasn't going to wait any longer to finally pack. Well when I read these reviews and then look at the actual members I was intrigued and interested in who these people were. I started browsing the forum a bit more and saw all kinds of topicss that interested me and enjoyed reading various views. I was instantly drawn in.

This site is also the reason I decided that I DID need to tell my parents who I was because I really want to finally after all these years start on my journey for myself for once. I've helped many people in my life and decided that I atleast owe myself this change. I owed it to myself to stop hiding from it, to stop being bitter, to stop playing someone else's little tune and to open up my jumbo music box and enjoy my own beat.

How I got here is such a long and deep story. And I mean not the site, but this actual point in time. If you had asked me how I saw myself in 10yrs I'd say i didn't care. Now that answer is we shall see when we get there.

I'm going stop before I start my ramblings lol. I did want to let my presence be known before I start participating deeper.  Thanks for reading.

It's a truism, but your story will resonate with probably most of us here.  After coming out to over 8000 of us, and yourself, you have made a great start.   
Once you realise who you are, life can look a lot brighter. True there care problems, but at least you know yourself.  Post away, and join the party.
