Okay, so in the grand scheme of things, not that important, but I'm wondering how long after SRS I can do short motorcycle trips? I'm not talking hours, just around the block, a little here and there to get the wind in my face for a bit, on a smooth V twin (NOT a filling-rattler at all).... Doc said 3 months (Suporn); it has been 1 1/2. My question is what's the worst damage that can happen, if any? Is it just a pain thing? Cause I'll put that donut cushion on the seat if I have to... :)

So basically, damage vs pain? I won't risk damage, but I doubt the pain'll be worse than the time I got t-boned by a car.  >:-)

The main risk is a tear if you aren't careful before the wounds have fully closed. I personally wouldn't go against the doctor's advice.

That doughnut cushion is not always the best answer. It makes your insides kinda drop through the hole and so puts stress on the vj internals. My experience...

I used to sit on one cheek, then moved to the other, a little forward, then a little back...

Also if you have an auto-box it is less of an issue. Stick shift requires more action, obviously.
I drove long before 1 1/2 month post-op, and it was OK apart from the discomfort after a pretty short while.
In fact I drove back to my place (~ 1 1/2 hours) just 1 week after my PIH return, which makes it ... 2 weeks post op, 3 weeks after the first main-op.

I'm 20 days post-op now and I couldn't think of riding a bicycle or a motorcycle. Most of my sutures have resolved by now but because I'm wearing a stent almost 24/7 for the next six weeks, there is still a lot of pressure in the operated area. My surgeon said that when the legs are together it would be best for wound healing. I'm getting better each day but it's all at snail's pace.

I have labiaplasty and urethral revision in about six weeks. Proper wound healing provided, I expect not to go back to any activity which could strain the new genital until December.

you know i was just wondering this question too? he bought me a green and pink crotch rocket and i was like how long till i can ride her?

I am curious about this subject as it pertains to biking. I'm a competitive cyclist and I know that there are numbers out there from doctors and the internet but has anyone had experience with somewhat rigorous/long riding post GRS? I like to spend a few hours in the saddle a few times a week and I my crotch already hurts from time to time so now that I've had surgery I don't imagine I can ride to that level and time soon. What are your experiences?

I road bike 50-100 miles per week... and I'm planning on having SRS early next year. I'd be very interested if there are any other bicyclists here and what they have experienced? Inquiring minds and so forth.

Well, the two (push vs motor bike) are as different as you can get... i couldnt imagine one of those narrow little leather seats and all that leg scissoring....yikes! The motorbike seat is broad, cushioned like a chair but I also have thick sheepskin for long adventure rides that I could throw on there, no leg movements... just vibration, but would that do anything bad?

There is a German transsexual who was a triathlete before SRS. After SRS she returned as a competitive athlete but started in the women's class. I remember I wrote an e-mail to her once where she told me that it took her one year feeling fully capable for her training again.

I rode my bicycle at 4 months post op, not hard riding, just leisure riding at the beach. I was fine, I healed up well and have had no complications !

I rode my motorcycle not long after that at 4 months, no issues either...
