Title: Anyone dressing En Femme for Halloween?
Post by: Joann on September 19, 2012, 07:29:03 AM
Ive been thinking about it for months.
Either that Vampire beer chic ( expensive)
or a female Darth Maul (Who are  actually Witches from the planet Dathomir) . >:-).
Its a good time to Try things out.

i dressed as shanks (from one piece) for last halloween. painted on a beard with mascara, didn't bother to bind my chest. people reacted more to the white lenses i wore than the rest of my attire...
did it for my daughter, since she couldn't imagine being luffy without bringing shanks to the party

i've no idea what how to dress this halloween though

Debating whether to go to the GLBTI Halloween Ball here. It will be held in the Void of the MONA Gallery. Leather mini if I do go, I think.

I crossdressed as a guy last year:

After 4 years of fulltime, you kinda go from "what can I do en femme for Halloween" to "why can't I find a really cool costume without it being sexy all the damn time...hell, even the female crayon costume says 'sex crayon costume'".

This year I am going as a Hogwarts student....not a sexy Hogwarts student. Just a normal one.

Dunno.

I don't really do Halloween, to be honest. That's more because I don't have anyone to do it with than because I don't want to; costumes are fun, acting is fun, and the theme in general makes the day way more interesting than the other three-and-a-half-hundred days of the year.

I almost forgot about crossdressers getting enthusiastic about Halloween. Is that really still a thing? I suppose anything that gives you the courage to do your thing is good. I've never been a big dresser-upper any time, so it's really not a big deal for me. I know the annual Fantasy Fest street fair in Key West, FL started out as a Halloween dress up occasion for CDs & drag queens, but over the years it's evolved into a public nudity and body painting beer bash. I suppose Halloween will always be great for the semi-closeted CD folks, though.

Halloween is big for Crossdressers and in the closet transgender people because it's a way to express themselves without raising an eyebrow or two (although the stealth trans will see someone crossdressed for Halloween and smile...knowing they probably just didn't wear it cuz it's halloween ;)   ).

The only time I dressed as a girl during halloween before I went fulltime was in 4th grade. It was more of a pet project for my step mother than it was for me.

I wore it for about an hour before the Halloween party. When my best friend did not recognize me, I immediately went into the bathroom and tore it all off lol.

I was a zombie that night and had a helluva time! So even when I knew I was transgender, I had no desire to dress. I think it was a mixture of "I don't want anyone to see how much fun i'm having as a girl" and it was a part of Maryland that just did not have a high tolerance for LGBT people...back in the 80s.

But I can see why a lot of CDs and Inthecloset Trans would take advantage of it. I just never felt the need to...but that was just me

That's about it for me also. And if I may add... some of these folks managed nothing more than make me VERY uncomfortable.
One more reason for me to never really cross-dress until I went FT RLE.
This... was like a fish taking to water :D

PS: I'd have to do boy-guise to CD – it's how I feel... but then... I done plenty time in this... no need for second helpings... thank you, but no thank you :)

I will never forget in 5thgrade at a school Halloween party when two of the boys had their older sisters dress them up all pretty and perfect! I couldn't take my eyes off them the whole time! All I could think was "why can't  I do that if they can get away with it?" But I wanted to be like that all the time, not just for the party.
This was in the 60's during the "mod" styles with short mini skirts and perfect makeup...you would swear they were just another couple of 12 year old girls.
That envy stayed with me for many years!

I Guess i was thinking about being a little daring. We have our  everyday dress but on halloween you can go for it.
Not every day you can wear fishnets and black eye shadow.

in your title you said "anyone dressing en femme for halloween?"  I had assumed that meant is anyone dressing in girl clothes for halloween.

Ever so modest hon? Meaning not dressing in hookers out-fits?

Unless 'en femme' just acquired an new meaning...  >:-)

yeah, I just assumed en femme meant "dressing as a girl" versus wearing something "sexy" or as you put it...as hooker-esque

My 6 year old son picked out my costume this year. It is a character off of one of the anime he watches. It is not a sexy costume, but it does consist of an orange dress and blue wig. I think it will be cute!

I was thinking about dressing up as Raggedy Ann but I don't know if I can find the costume stuff. The girl, not the goat or horse or whatever that little animal is:
