Title: Mirrior mirror on the wall

I was looking in the mirror last night and noticed something I hadn't seen before.
It was the me!
Like most of us, I have never felt happy with how I looked, male.
Since I have lost most of my heavy facial hair through 3 laser sessions and started looking after my skin, I almost didn't recognise myself and was quietly surprised by what I saw.
I went to sleep very pleased with the progress so far knowing I never have to go back to like I was before.
Anyone else been surprised and pleased with their new looks as they develop?

Certainly it's a great feeling isn't it. What I am noticing is that I used to look at photos and all of them were bad but some not quite so bad.
Now I think some are quite good and some not quite so bad. Progress of a sort
When it comes to looking in the mirror I occasionally look and see real changes but then it seems to vanish in an instant and the old me reappears.

I experienced that today. Was just overall happy with how I looked in the mirror this morning before work. Carried me through the rest of the day. I have come along way from the sad and isolated old self. Even losing a ton of weight that I gained from the original problem :) So the me I see now is a shadow of that guy.

I remember my first real occurance with that as well it was like O-o well hey there sexy -tries to poke the girl in the mirror- owww that hurt xD

Every now and then, I'll see a myself in a photo and be like "hey, that's not me.. That's...me"

For me I'm finally starting to get to the point of seeing "her" in the mirror. Before she was always just looking out searching and finally she's starting to be seen! It makes me smile since every day brings me closer to matching the inner and outer self.
