i know this probably sounds really weird but what underwear should i wear to my checkup?

i am always wearing boxers and i really hate girls underwear. but it'd be odd to go in and have him ask why i'm wearing boxers.

I think you should just wear what your used to if they ask thats unprofessional to begin with and you can just say its not your business what i where under my pants

I say boxers, doctor's visits are uncomfortable enough without adding any extra discomfort from wearing underwear you hate. Anyways, your doctor is a medical professional and it's not his place to judge you or call you out on your underwear. Well, it's not anyone's place really...

I really don't know why a doctor would ask you why you're wearing boxers. Seems like a strange question to ask to begin with.

Yeah, the doctor isn't really going to think much of boxers more than likely. As it's been said, a lot of girls wear them anyway, and it's not his place to ask in the beginning.

ha that would be funny but really awkward most likely.

Another vote for commando.. Otherwise go for the boxers. As others have stated, it would be extremely unprofessional for the doctor to comment on your choice of underwear.

It doesn't matter at all, they leave the room when you are putting on the gown anyway. My hairy butt didn't even phase my doc. She did her exam while chatting away about new health care standards the entire time and moved on to talking about her daughter. I went to school with her kids and she didn't bat an eyelash at the fuzz that makes up my lower areas at all. She did compliment my tattoos though. ...And petted the ones on my hips. It tickled like a mofo.

I couldn't agree more with this answer. It's none of the doctor's business what underwear you decide to wear. :D

First off, don't wear underwear 'for your doctor'. If they aren't what you want, go with boxers. Or nothing, if he's such a jerk about it.

If he asks why you are wearing boxers, just tell him that he is being unprofessional and you don't want him to continue being inappropriate with you. That'll shut him up, or open him up to a lawsuit, depending on his reaction.

I was at the doctors about my hips and she checked with me that I was wearing underwear before she pulled my trousers down a little but she said that she'd had people in who were going commando before, so I really don't think it matters.  Doctors really do see all types and your choice of underwear is the least of their worries.

boxer briefs or trunks(short boxer briefs) they look more gender neutral then boxers.

only have boxers as of yet but being ftm i'll probably get breifs too somtime during my lifetime (hopefully)
