Well I know I'm jsut so hopeless, but well I can never meet some one. I't probably because I'm so shy. But where in the world should I go to find a lipstick lesbian that would have me? I mean I'm pretty no dought. But I feel like I get shut down when they find out I'm trans. It doesnt' help that I have no idea how to really date to begin with so maybe I'm just hopeless. I mean really when I think about stuff later I can see that I missed that some one was showing interest. but when I think they are at the time I'm always wrong. Or I gets suddenly shy and terrified. I mean come on. I was out singing Kareoke. I love to sing and I'm damn good in my guy voice. So I like to surprise people at the gay bar I goto. start off in some corner and then people start looking around to see jsut who the hell is singing. So I can't be that shy right? I was doing it the other day and there where 3 jsut beautiful girls really getting into my singing. so I sashaed over and sang to them, got them to join in. we had a blast. But as soon as the song was over I claimed up like a brick or something. I couldn't even get my self to go say hi. damn it I was afraid to look over at them. and my freind, she said I should and I couldn't. :( I think I'm nuts. Is this what it feels like to be nuts?

Not being a local I can't offer any specific advice on locations, but I just put myself out there. Problem here is Translesbian Invisibility. A decent conversation that I don't actually initiate would do for starters. Hope things work out.

Come to Seattle and I will be your wing woman. I am not shy in the least, and have no issues walking up to someone and starting a conversation. You could woo them with your singing and after words I can help you talk to them.
On a more practical note, having a friend who is not shy with you could really help you meet someone. If you can, go out with someone and have them provide you with some support while you get the conversation going. It also provides an added appearance that you are not just out to meet someone, and you are actually there to just have fun. I personally find this to be a little less invasive.

Jennifer, the secret to attracting and meeting the right person is to like yourself and then go out and do all the things you like to do. Karaoke was a great start. Don't worry if you clam up at inopportune times. Just work on liking and being comfortable with yourself.
What things makes you feel good and true to yourself? Clothing? Friends? Fun? Exercise? Creativity? Good works?
Figure out what those things are and do them. You'll get more out of life and people will get to see the real you.
