Lucasfilm is sold to Disney (http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2012/10/30/disney-star-wars-lucasfilm/1669739/)
I am NOT waiting for a "Disney"-type feel to the SW franchise...even if it means getting new SW movies. (Especially if it's on TV as an annual-ish series)
What do ya'all who be SW fans think? How about you Disney fans?
QuoteSaid Disney CEO Robert Iger: "This is one of the great entertainment properties of all time, one of the best branded and one of the most valuable, and it's just fantastic for us to have the opportunity to both buy it, run it and grow it."
The big screen isn't the only place that there might be tales from the galaxy far, far away. "We really like Star Wars' potential on TV as well," Iger says, "and we think (cable-satellite channel) Disney XD will be a great home for that."
The buyout is Disney's fourth largest deal ever. It's behind the $19.7 billion, $7.6 billion and $5.2 billion buyouts of Capital Cities/ABC in 1995, Pixar in 2006 and Fox Family in 2001, respectively, says S&P Capital IQ. It tops the $3.96 billion Disney paid for Marvel in August 2009.
Disney expects to more aggressively expand the Star Wars film schedule, Iger said in a statement. Following the release of Episode VII in 2015, "our long term plan is to release a new Star Wars feature film every two to three years," Iger said.

I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to the release of " Jedi Knight and the Seven Droids."

As long as it stops Lucas from reimagining his own movies after they've been released, then I'm all for it. BTW, HAN SHOT FIRST!!!!!

And the "dead end corridor" scene with Han and Leiah...changed to "open bay area with 1000 Stormtroopers" = >:(
I don't remember if he took out the blooper with the Stormtrooper hitting his helmet on the door (scene with R2 and 3PO)...

I would rather an up to date version of "Dune" myself, but that might be a bit deep for them. Just as long as they never get their hands on "The Doctor."

Update of Dune would be fun. It should be noted that George Lucas has donated the $4,000,000,000 he made off of this deal to various charites. So, good for him on doing that.
