This has been bugging me for awhile, I'm male bodies and view myself and just starting to present myself as female. Since I came out a couple months ago my parents have been saying that theyre supportive of me and my decision. The problem is that every time I try to get them to help me or anything they always seem too embarrassed about me and being trans. It seems that they don't even try to connect with me as the girl I am just starting to become but don't seem to want to help not only me with getting happy but themselves with getting comfortable with me. It's frustrating since I'm trying to repair a broken relationship but they wont try on their end to do anything. I want to do this and help them get comfortable with the idea that their "son" is now their daughter.

Many people feel there needs to he a grieving process. Your family is losing their son no matter how you slice it. Be patient and work with them. Remember, it may feel like three steps forward and two steps back, but forward progress is forward progress. Keep us posted, hugs, Devlyn

thanks :), I've been trying to work it with my family but simply don't see any progress with my parents. They just seem so stalled and its emotionally tolling when I talk to them about it.

Thanks, truthfully I don't know any other trans people. It's lonely, very in that sense that I've still yet to meet any other trans people. Why I came here, to look for some help and people to meet
