Many conservative thinkers such as Mohler disagree with abortion. So if there was a way to treat homosexuality wouldn't that be like "aborting" that child's natural right? Mohler doesn't think so.

Although he addresses that there is simply not enough evidence that homosexuality is biological, he replies if it were possible it would be an effect of "the consequences of the fall and the effects of human sin."

Thusly, no different than being born with a disease.

And the evil of religiousity is unveiled in that concept. If one's life is a disease can there be a point in having joy in it? Does one life mean ruin? Does one life mean mistake? Clearly the answer is no, but that is what folks like Mohler want people to believe. Someday, most of us will reflect decades from now on that concept in the twilight of our lives and realize: our lives were not mistakes or ruin.
