Ok so I started taking Estradot nearly 2 weeks ago. Last night I started feeling strong Dizzy Spells, so I went to bed and woke up still with Dizzy Spells but not as bad. Throughout the day they came back, so I removed the patch and feel a bit better already.
Is this normal when starting hormones ladys? Do you have to ride through this to get to a stage where it gets less and less i wonder.

Contact your doctor. Syncope is nothing to mess with.

Yeh I phoned them, they are calling me back today.
I feel better from removing the patch just hours after removing it, it does say its a known side affect on a well known medical website. I wasn't taking any T blockers, do I need any tests etc form being on hormones nearly 2 weeks? x

Hi Peeps,
Doctor called me just now, said it's normal what I'm going through. I had bloods done before I started, which were all good.
He said the meds won't have caused blood pressure to go up or down yet as I havn't been on them long enough for that to happen.
One of my friends said same happened to her at first, but it got less and less.
Just hard when you work full time, putting up with it x

I get syncope on a regular basis. I can sense when it is coming on, so I make sure I have support or sit down when I can.

Since your Dr has given you the clear, I'd like to take this opportunity to offer a few suggestions. More to look at, rather than instructions.
Make sure your fluid intake is adequate. I'm not sure of all the meds you're on, but it isn't uncommon to find your kidneys producing a bit more fluid.
Don't over do this. Just be sure you're hydrated.
If you're one of those who thinks salt is the devil's own poison, then try taking small amounts with food. But be careful and remember, the devil's own poison is Mushroom soup.
If you feel a bit feint can you try eating a chocolate bar, Mars is a a particularly good one as it has a lot of different sugars. If you're worried about your weight, eath only half. But I'm pretty sure you won't gain extra weight, certainly not in the short term.
If you find the chocolate does help you, then you should try to carry some. But remember, it's the sugar you're after and taking it in different forms, such as is in a Mars bar along with some fluid, like water, should give you the relief you need.
Addition. Just had a look on Wikipedia and I think, on your side of the pond, you might call a Mars Bar, Milky Way. Anyway, these are the descriptions so you should know what to look for.
Good luck.
