Between now and Christmas I will lock myself away and watch this, and I will cry buckets  like I always do. Hugs, Devlyn

It's a movie from 1946. George Bailey lives his life making sacrifices for others. His life comes apart, leaving him on the verge of suicide. His family and friends (and an unlikely Angel) come to his aid. I'm tearing up now. Hugs, Devlyn

so what is people going to eat for christmas?

In my famely we general eat roast pork with potatoes and Ris a la mande as decert.

Ris a la mande is a kind of rice pudding you use for competition. you put almonds in but leave 1 uncut and the one who finds it will get an extra present for christmas.
Beside that its very delicious so if you love cooking you should try to make it together with hot cherry sauce.

yup it is, we have a couple of present-games in Denmark during christmas time.

when I was a kid I thought there where a man hidding in the pudding because my mom told me that I should find the whole almond and in danish "almond" sound a bit like the word "man".

So I didnt find a man(obviously) but insteed I found a uncut almond I didnt want to eat, and everyone where like "hurra you found it" and gave me the present where I where totally confussed like. "is that the man??"

OK so it's a bit weird but what would Christmas traditions be without at least one rendition of this

(No I'm not kidding) It is deer hunting season here.

Happy Thanksgiving all.

Sarah, you need help. I think an intervention is called for. You have a chronic case of Da Yoopers!

Devlyn,

It's not chronic,it's tradition.  ;)

(Now if you add in Wierd Al then maybe intervention may be a very good thing)  :D

If one includes the decorating of two trees (That never come down) with 753 various ornaments all having to do with cute little fur balls. (How my mom ever found them all I will never know) And add into that the 23rd rendition of various songs like this

Jingle Cats Silent Night (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9LqRl7tqf4#)[yt=425,350]_Nhy6_gjCpk[/yt]

Add to that the overwhelming abundance of cats in every room (But one),on almost every wall (Including four very live and just way to cute fur balls) is it any wonder I am not catatonic from the overwhelming abundance of "Aww isn't that cute"

I have been cuteified (A medical condition that comes from way too much cuteness) Cute overload.
