Title: Just wanted to show off my pretty cake

Yum! You can find the recipe here: http://www.rkhomemaderecipes.com/chocolate-sponge-cake-amandine.html (http://www.rkhomemaderecipes.com/chocolate-sponge-cake-amandine.html) I just added about a teaspoon of almond extract and a handful of raw almonds ground into a fine powder to the filling.

I've been into cakes lately, anyone have any good recipes or their own cake pictures?

I'm much more into the savory side of the kitchen tbh

That looks good, and one I haven't tried. What's drizzled on the plate?

I am more into the savory side myself, partly because I often don't need to have an entire cake sitting around.

heh, its some of the liquid from the soak of the cake. the cake is called tres leches because it's a sponge cake that's then soaked in three milks; heavy cream, condensed milk, and evaporated milk (and a little rum for good measure)
