I was wondering if anyone knows what codes are best for cigna to verify if my insurance covers surgery. It looks like 57291 and 57292(these codes seem like srs with skin graft vs. none). I'm not 100% certain these are the right codes since it seems like there's a possibility they are for intersex people but I'm not sure if they are general srs or not.

Those are standard CPT medical diagnostic codes, don't ask me how I know but I do :). Both codes are coded as "artificial vagina". The surgeon would have to fill in either code based on the procedure done. Hope that helps!

Forgot to say 57292 is construct vagina with skin graft. 57291 is a general one.

Awesome thanks for the confirmation!! I called my insurance a few days ago and they did say it was covered but I was afraid I had the wrong code. I really appreciate it!
