Title: eating ashes
Post by: p!nk on January 15, 2013, 10:45:38 AM
hello :)

i had a talk with a friend of mine. he told me that it was actually beneficial to eat ashes, like ashes from cigarettes. he demontrated it to me by doing it then. i tried it too, it didnt taste too bad. he then went on about how ashes can also be used to clean your body. some indians spill ashes over their body for cosmetics i.e. to clean their skin according to him

well im not sure about this.. eating ashes isnt harmful is it? because i collect them now in a jar to eat them later.. im interested in your opinion on this

Doesn't sound very appetizing! Here's an interesting article on Pica: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pica_(disorder) (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pica_(disorder))

There was a recent article in some science magazine saying that it appears to be Actually Useful in some cases -- the particular one being that some toxic stuff can get picked up by clay, for instance.

Although boy, would cigarette ashes not be on my list of "non-poisonous things".
