Title: Injection question.
Post by: Darrin Scott on January 19, 2013, 09:30:54 PM
I have a question and I just moved and am seeing a new dr on the 31st so I'll ask there too. I want to know, after my shot for about a week I get a huge lump on my leg. It's not discolored or anything and it's painful. I massage and everything after injecting. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know what it is? Is it normal?

I used to have that problem and the bump was itchy as well. It eventually went away though and I haven't had any problems since. I think it may be just because your body isn't used to you injecting it with hormones and the injection area will have to basically get used to you having injections.

I had that happen once so far and it was also the time that the shot hurt when it was given. I'm thinking if maybe the muscle isn't completely relaxed it happens. I really don't know though.

My injection site did this the first few times I had T shots, which were given by the doctor.

When I injected myself for the first time, I injected a lot slower than the doctor did and I had no lump or lingerering pain afterwards so in my case I think it was from the oil being forced into my tissues too quickly and causing minor damage which equaled pain and a lump until it healed. Try injecting slower next time and see if anthing changes.

I used to be able to feel a little ball of T after injecting, but it didn't hurt. I can still feel the lump, but it's smaller now because I inject weekly, half as much.

I'll try injecting slower and see what happens next time.
