Title: Question for those who have had a breast augmentation.
Post by: Caisie Breen on January 21, 2013, 11:11:07 AM
I am having a breast augmentation this Friday. Can anyone tell me what to expect?

Will it hurt?

Will I be mobile afterwards and how soon?

Finally, will I be huge because of the swelling?

Thanks - hugs  :)

Yes BA does hurt, so get ready to get some pain pills you are going to need them. I have no idea of which way you are doing yours implants (under or over muscle) or where they are inserting the implants. Dr Suporn in Thailand did mine using tear drop textured silicone implants. It's a more expensive procedure and the implants cost more but less hassles down the road. I did mine through the armpits so I have a very light scar under my arms. I didn't want obvious scarring in the front. You will be wrapped up nice and tight for a few weeks.

Of all of the surgery I had, i would say I recovered from this faster than Srs but was a little longer off kilter than facial surgery. I was pretty much back to normal after about 10 weeks or so. The full healing takes about 4 months and it was back to normal.

Hope that helps!!

PS: have fun getting mammograms now lol. It's one thing that really really sucks when you have implants.

Casie.

Even without the operation wounds, you're going to be subjecting your skin to streaching.

Any wound will hurt.

Any post op infection, which usually happens anywhere in the world, is going to hurt.

But the result will be so worth it and I doubt there will be many here who won't raise a cheer for you, while secretly wishing they were in your position.

Addition, MtF that is.  ;D
