Title: A ftm musketeer
Post by: OlivierDeSillegue on January 31, 2013, 06:34:51 PM
Hello everyone :)

My name is Armand Olivier Michel de Sillègue (or it will be once my legal documents are done, which should be in the next few weeks). I am 28 years old and a ftm. I live in Canada, in the province of Ontario, and I am blessed with a workplace that is very accepting and supporting, as well as an awesome girlfriend to whom I would gladly give the universe.  :) I have taken T for 5 weeks now and am taking procedures for an assessment with a clinic called CAMH which will determine if I will be eligible for surgery coverage.

I'm really looking forward to being part of this community. I understand that I should never ask the age of another user in a post as users under 18 should not disclose the information. I am looking forward to being more than a guest on this forum (to be an actual member of the family, though I understand that this will happen when I reach 500 posts, and that there are consequences if I were to try to increase my post number for no reason). I look forward to having a reputation of 40. :P

I think I got pretty much everything in the guidelines and rules... I promise to always be respectful of others and to use the appropriate pronouns, as I wish to be addressed with the same respect. I will also always keep my posts appropriate and not be an evil-meanie spammer ( :D).

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Tous pour un, un pour tous!

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

Another big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.

Well, you can always ask my age. Only for a certain time of course. With HRT came a certain type of dyslexia. I'm now 26  ;D  Next year I'll be 36. Fortunately I'll be cured by 2017. The numbers go the wrong way after that.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

:)  Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, I'm really happy.  :D

Yes, yes, I am a french-canadien, with emphasis on the French. I'm truly a Français de coeur.

Catherine, you don't look a day over 25.  ;)

Bienvenue Olivier!

My girlfriend is Quebecois and I am up there all the time. And I am working very hard on my French! Maybe you can help me sometime, lol. There was another new guy on Susan's from Paris who's been on recently, I was gonna hit him up for tips, but the Quebec French has quite a few differences from the Parisienne.

I was so happy this weekend when I went to church in Quebec with my gf and when they handed me my program, I got a "Bon matin, monsieur," so I love passing on both sides of the border! C'est tout bon!  ;)

Bonne journee et bienvenue encore!!

Hi Gennee and Andy, thanks for your warm welcome!  :D

Andy, it'll be a pleasure for me to help you with French :) I actually speak both France French and Québécois. If you want, I can help you with either of these specific accents, it makes no difference to me.  ^^

Where in Québec does your girlfriend live? I used to live in the Gatineau area myself (that is very close to Ottawa). Now I live in London, about two hours South-West of Toronto.
