Title: Terminology?
Post by: insideontheoutside on February 13, 2013, 09:49:17 PM
I've noticed a lot of different terminology for certain things that we find uncomfortable to deal with. An amusing one that recently came up in another thread was "entertainment system", to basically describe any sexually functioning parts.

Shark week seems to be a popular one to describe that thing that shall not be named.

Moobs works for me (instead of any female term for them).

I thought of another good one (someone else has probably already thought of it as well) - "man cave" (instead of "the other hole").

So ... have any other good terms we could all start using?

My boyfriend uses "ghost penis" for himself.

I'm fairly vulgar, I guess, so I just use "dick" or "crotch" or whatever seems appropriate. I use "boobs" personally, because "moobs" sounds funny to me, or occasionally "tits" instead. I don't usually talk very seriously about any parts, so it's pretty easy for me to go with whatever serves my mood at the moment.

I like "man cave", though. That's cool.  ;D

I used to call shark week "voldemort" because I have trouble saying it and voldemort is "He who must not be named". At the moment we just ask if I'm "laying" because she said something about if I was laying eggs and I went stupid and checked when easter (the genuine holiday, not another euphemism) was.

The only funny one I have it Captain Bloodsnatch and the Scarlet Raids, or Captain for short. My testosterone is now called the Coast Guard. So far, the Coast Guard has done a great job of keeping the Captain away from port. My family has crazy weird names for everything, though.

Lot of cool, creative terms in this thread.

I'm the same way. Not very creative about this. I just used 'tits' and 'pussy'. Or 'clit'. I'd probably be more dysphoric calling my parts anything else. To me, they are what they are - female parts on a male.

'Man cave' is sweet though.

I'm really lazy, so my junk is my junk to me, my GF goes with male names for everything, mud flaps for my chest now though :3

After reading Stephen King's Carrie, I sometimes jokingly call my chest "dirty pillows". I mostly just use the female terms because other things just seen weird to me.

After seeing some episode of the Mighty Boosh, downstairs parts can so easily be called "mangina".
The mighty boosh:Old greg's mangina! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxiVLNA3F7w#)

Too bad I am not a scaly man-fish though.  :(

Me & my evil ex used to refer to sex as "adult fun" or "adult naughtiness" & female parts often got referred to as a "front bottom"

Prior to top surgery I liked to use the term "chesticles" - masculine, un-related to any of the female terms, and hard not to laugh a little when saying it out loud

I've always been partial to the term "top B******s" I know it's crude but I find it funny

I'd be careful with using this word.  It sometimes thrown around in hate by those with transphobia as a labeling derogatory term for transwomen or trans-feminine people, oddly.

Recently, I've been using the term "the Batcave". I hope I don't have to explain for what xD. Anyway, it happened by accident. My boyfriend had asked me one night why I was so abnormally tired. I didn't want to tell him I was on my period, so I told him the first thing that came to mind. That happened to be "There's been a flooding in the Batcave" XP. So now I have a batcave :'P

Darth_Taco, I like your idea of "the Batcave" and flooding, very unique and descriptive.  I use shark week right now.  I just want to get on T and end them all together.
