What made you want to become a firegfighter?

Apples or oranges?

Many reasons:
-I want a job that actually matters, something that I can pat myself on the back for doing.
-Great motivation and means of staying in shape. Work out at the station and whatnot.
-I don't want to have a desk job.
-I don't want to go to college.
-I Like to see the look of peoples' faces when I save someone he/she cares about.  :)

ORANGES! I love oranges! They taste good!

You told me to do it!  :P

I listen to girly pop stuff like Victoria Justice's music, Christina Aguillera, Cascada, and others. Oldies, country, rock, same genres in Spanish, and video game orchestrated music.

Oh my gosh... NEITHER! I don't like Twilight. However, if I had to pick one who is hotter... Jacob.

What's your favorite Zelda game and how do you feel about the newest one that came out, Skyward Sword?
Title: Re: Ask me Stuff and Such.
Post by: Kevin Peña on February 18, 2013, 08:33:25 PM
Oh, that's tough. I would have to say Twilight Princess. Cool sword moves, Wolf Link and Midna, sniper/bomb arrows, some of the best boss battles ever, and some difficult dungeons.

Skyward Sword is a great addition to the LOZ franchise. It featured great upgradeable items, challenging adventures just to reach the wonderfully thought out dungeons, a flying aspect, thoughtful swordplay rather than the old button mash ideology, and the silent realms almost made me pee on myself. They were so hard and scary.  :icon_nervious:

Would you like to get married one day?

Would you like to have kids one day?

What is your least favorite thing to do?

How do your parents feel about your transition, if they know?
Title: Re: Ask me Stuff and Such.
Post by: Kevin Peña on February 18, 2013, 10:33:49 PM
I would love to be in a loving lifelong relationship, but I wouldn't want to get legally married, just in case. After all, it's just a piece of paper that makes it harder to call it quits if the relationship doesn't work out.

I would never have kids. Ever. They suck, and I acknowledge the fact that I was the biggest mistake my parents EVER made, so no kids for me.  :P

I despise writing mundane papers for English class.

My dad doesn't care as long as I'm happy. My mom, as the hyper-catholic she is, expressed her disdain at my "possession" by the devil.

I'll come up with questions!

- How did you choose "Diana" as a name? (and did you ever consider "Malon" or "Saria"?)
- Which Zelda game did you like the least?
- Was there ever an official answer to Goku vs Superman?

I have a question, how do you feel about orange chicken?
Title: Re: Ask me Stuff and Such.

I chose Diana because it's the Latin name of Artemis, Greek goddess of the hunt. It's also Wonder Woman's name: Princess Diana of Themyscira.

I liked Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past the least. Sorry.  :P

As for Goku vs. Superman, here's the official release:

Title: Re: Ask me Stuff and Such.

The Myth of Sisyphus. Zeus kidnaps some girl, and a human rats him out, while everyone was too scared to do so, so they just gave up their morals. Sisyphus even tricked Death into being his prisoner and managed to evade death from the gods by a technicality. Sure, he did lose eventually, as is to be expected when facing off against gods, but at least he stood up for what he believed in and went down swinging.  :icon_boxing:

The animation is only for theatrics, as mentioned in their Q&A episode. It's not to be taken seriously, or Goku would've died in that part where he went into space. If you watch the end, you'd see that the analysis proves that it wasn't even a close fight.  :P

My favorite cartoon series. That's tough. Probably Justice League? Or Tom and Jerry? Or Popeye? Or Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends? Or Generator Rex? Or Young Justice? Or (Batman/Superman/Green Lantern): The Animated Series?

2. If you were a fictional character, what kind of story would you be in and what part would you play?
3. What do you think of the Batman movies? How about the Green Lantern movie?

1. Batman, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Mr. Miracle, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Nightwing, Winter Soldier, Captain America, Hawkeye, Green Arrow, Arsenal, Doctor Strange, Doctor Fate, Zatanna, Captain Marvel, Wolverine, Black Canary, The Question, Miss Marvel, Black Panther, Aquaman, and Thor.

For those of you who don't know who The Question is.
The Question Loves Pop Music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiXVcRiP4ew#)

2. I would be a nerd turned superhero. I would make a device for a science fair project that would allow me to control water like they do on Avatar: The Last Airbender, but it would glitch and become permanently bound to my body, making me a permanent superhero.

3. Considering the many Batman movies, I'll assume you're talking about Nolan's. Good plot, mediocre novela-esque fight scenes, terrible voices. The Green Lantern movie was good, except for the anti-climactic ending.

The animated ones kick butt! For starters:
-Batman: Under the Red Hood
-Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Parts 1 & 2
-Batman: Year One

I love villains! Without them, there would be no comics!
-Lex Luthor is a flipping genius
-Joker, the greatest villain ever, is truly evil. No other reason for his crimes but that he finds them to be hilarious. He's messed up in the head.
-Sinestro's a traitor with a cause
-Darkseid's a villain with a cause: bringing order to the universe, albeit under his iron fist by using the anti-life equation to get rid of free will.
-...and many more.

4- Depends on a few factors. For example, how big is the groundhog? The groundhog could simply not move and take up whatever space its volume allows. Also, it could organize the groundhogs into a society where property ownership is claimable and decide that any particular amount of land is its.  :P

My room doesn't have insulation. My apartment doesn't have heat.

Besides, water comes from outside, so the better question is how does it not freeze out there. The answer is that people dissolve certain substrates in the water supply to take advantage of colligative properties: freezing point depression. The freezing point of a fluid decreases when more stuff is dissolved in it.

Quote from: EmSchuma on February 23, 2013, 10:45:15 AM
And why haven't you asked the landlord to fix it?

Because I don't feel like it due to the fact that it's not a problem. I don't want people up in my room for hours trying to fix it. I can manage.

That is a geographical stereotype. For example, Argentina is really south, which is basically the same as being really north. Southern Argentina gets cold! Also, being on the equator, Ecuador has sort of a desert climate, especially in our winter: steamy hot in the day, cold at night.

3. Pancakes.
4. Seeing as to how I like not getting into accidents... no.  :P

Why do you insist on calling soccer football when soccer clearly sounds better? ::)
Title: Re: Ask me Stuff and Such.
Post by: Kevin Peña on February 23, 2013, 07:44:28 PM
Because if we call football soccer, then American football, a sport where feet are hardly used on the ball, gets called "football," which makes no sense.  :P

Sure it does, you kick it sometimes. ^.^

Football in general is a boring name. You use your "foot" on the "ball"! Just doesn't sound very creative. ::)

That's why I said "hardly used on the ball".  :P

Besides, "soccer" was called football before American football even came into existence. Get off your high horse, America, and start calling "soccer" football and start using the metric system while you're at it. It's more efficient.  :P

Yeah I don't really see that happening! But heres a question why all the hate for American football? And this from someone who played soccer as a kid and never played football.

We're just messing around, hence the  :P. I frankly don't care one way or the other about American football. If someone likes it, I won't have a problem until he/she nags at me incessantly to watch it. In fact, I don't watch any sports since it's more fun to play than it is to watch others play. I'm not a sideline kind of person.

She tried to hit my sister with a hammer, so I kicked her in the face, threw her onto the ground, and called the cops. My sister got taken away by child protective services.  :(

I was asked the same thing. I told him, "A man doesn't just sit around like some pansy cheerleader and watch a game. Get down a dirty like a real man!"  :P

Barely. I'd seriously rather not discuss this. It makes me mad just thinking about it, and how my mom says that her being taken away is all my fault since I called the cops.

I don't like remakes, personally, since it's a cash-grabbing kind of thing. However, for those younger video game players who don't even know what a Gamecube is, remaking LOZ on newer systems is a great way to introduce them to great video games.

As for the newest LOZ game, I don't have enough info to go on! Anywho, I'd like a revamping of the Zelda series. Instead of the quintessential structure, I want a new game dynamic. Something like this:

Link is not just some peasant who needs to start off with getting a sword, an outfit, blah, blah, blah. I want Link to perhaps be the head of Zelda's honor guard, already armed with a sword, shield, and bow, but not the major ones like the Master Sword. While an armored caravan is escorting Zelda to meet with royalty of another kingdom for a peace treaty signing, a dragon comes and blows a fireball at it. The caravan blows apart, and Zelda is taken away in its claws. Link and the other royal guards, still regrouping after the blast, try to stop it, but the dragon manages to get away only after Link shoots it in the eye, giving it a trademark scar. Before the dragon escapes, Zelda says something that all LOZ fans have been waiting for: "Link! I... I love you!", leaving Link flabbergasted.  The dragon takes Zelda to a tower where a silhouette of none other than Ganondorf comes and introduces himself. He takes Zelda into a dungeon, where he holds her in chains by the arms and legs.

The story then moves to Link, who is in his quarters. He's throwing a fit of anger, throwing things off of his desk and whatnot. He eventually cools off and decides to rescue Zelda at any cost. However, a crucial detail is that by being kidnapped, Zelda missed the royal meeting. Her absence offends the king of um... Deslika (?), and the king of Deslika proclaims war on Hyrule. Therefore, Link must conduct his own search for Zelda with his troops, with dungeons (that only Link can enter for some reason. Troops are only available for pre-dungeon quests) and all, while also fighting a war.

Needless to say, this may be a more mature game than the past LOZ games. Also, I want to have some cool Assassin's Creed-esque moves like combinations of weapons that you learn each time you get a new item, similar to the moves in Twilight Princess. For example, you can grab an enemy with the claw-shots and then press the attack button to slice it as it gets near.
