I saw this video on the WSJ today: http://live.wsj.com/video/what-it-means-to-be-gay-in-china/800B074B-934A-4D1D-8625-C1D4364C2578.html# (http://live.wsj.com/video/what-it-means-to-be-gay-in-china/800B074B-934A-4D1D-8625-C1D4364C2578.html#)!800B074B-934A-4D1D-8625-C1D4364C2578
It's estimated that approximately 16 million Chinese women are married to gay, bisexual, or trans* men; there's calls to enact a new law that would make it easier for these women to divorce or annual their marriages if they discover their husband's orientation after marriage. The video gives a little discussion on some of the concerns that arise for LGBT activists in China, such as property and rights to children that may discriminate against the GBT husband in the divorce, as well as the increasing general acceptance of homosexuality in China but the challenges that LGBT face when it comes to gaining acceptance from family members.

I can only hope that in 20 or so years, Homosexuality and other positions in the LGBT spectrum will be recognized in Russia and China, just as they are now in much of the 1st world. But I see these countries having a long and difficult road ahead of them :(
