Title: Greetings!
Post by: Mohini on March 03, 2013, 03:33:30 AM
Hello!

My name is Mohini, incidentally both my real name and the username here. I am a Canadian transwoman who has been on hormone replacement therapy for about a year or so now, although lifelong with my own dysphoria!

I am living semi-stealth, and I never gave thought to even joining a transgender forum until now!

I hope that I can contribute to the forum and enjoy posts by other people who have similar backgrounds and experiences.  ^-^

May y'all be blessed!

Hi Mohini, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 10320  strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FAnimals%2Fferret-3.gif&hash=f49e2f86761323f2abd9c33941920389dbb3b10f)

Thank you so much! I certainly hope to learn something new, and maybe become less prejudiced about other people's views other than my own! :)

Hi Mohini,

Nice to see another Canadian on board. Congrats on one year on hormones, looks like they are really working for you and you look Beautiful. I was born in Toronto & lived there most of my life, past 20 years in a western suburb. Do you mind me asking where you live? I am in the early stages of exploring some transition with a gender friendly Doctor & hoping I get the okay to go on hormones.
Cheers.
Jamie

Hi Jamiep! Gotta love fellow Canadians! :D I was born in Vancouver, raised in Surrey, and I still live here in the Greater Vancouver area!

I certainly hope that you get your hormones soon. I myself have been on, then off, and then finally deciding to go on full-time. It's such a beautiful dream to wake up every day and feel whole, and I'll bet that once you get okay'd, you will feel the absolute difference.

It certainly is almost like a breath of fresh air! :)

Mohini.

Hi Mohini,

Canadians, a hearty lot and cool cats. My Dad was born in Newfoundland. in the early 90's my Sis moved her family to Vancouver & I have a cousin in Victoria. So I get to visit both coasts. In the 80's I skied at Whistler a few times. The last four years my wife & I have visited Sis & family, Sis has toured us around the area and slowly getting to see more of Van which we are really enjoying. Last May my wife & I along with Sis & her husband went out of Van on an Alaska/Yukon boat cruise. May be a year or more before we are out there again.

I love how you expressed your experience of hormones, I will be excited to look forward to that.  Thanks about being on the hormones soon.
Hugs
Jamie
