Title: Help with finding a job!

Okay. So, my current work situation has become untolerable, and I'm starting to look for work again, and it's been many, many years since I've had to do it. So what are the current hot job sites that one can use to upload a resume? I know that Monster and CareerBuilder are still kicking around, and there's always *shudder* Craigs List. I'm also not just relying on these sites. I'm going to the local businesses webistes directly and seeing what kind of job postings they have there. It's just these job websites are kind of like a shotgun in that you just throw your resume out there and you're going to get a lot of crap, but every once in a while you might get something decent out of it.

LinkedIn is pretty popular, as well. Its good for networking, has a job posting section, and many employers will check your profile before calling. What type of work do you do?

I agree, use LinkedIn, I also use indeed.com and simplyhired.com. Best of luck! I am in the same boat.

Thanks for all your input! Linkedin has changed quite a bit since I used it last and already put in a good 7 or so applications. Let's hope I get a bite. :D

Diversityworkers.com is another good place to look. I also use Dice.com, Simplyhired.com, Indeed.com, and a host of other sites. I too use Linkedin and find it a decent place to look unless you are in a hurry (new jobs don't get posted from as many sources). I also have contacted every recruiter in my area that deals with my specialty.
Good luck Shodan!
Good luck Shodan!

Thanks. I really hate looking for work. I have bad self esteem problems as it is, and being constantly rejected doesn't help that any. :P
