Title: My 2013 Spring/Summer Clothes Collection.
Post by: Albina on March 17, 2013, 08:56:21 AM
Hey girls and boys!

Thanks to the support of some very nice people - fashionistas here, I'd like to start this thread basically to show some of my acquirings in the world of clothes.
It took me about a year to build up my clothes lineup to dress appropriately and decently for mostly all the occasions. For me, it was a very pleasurable experience - I learned many things, and still more to learn to become a successful and a beautiful woman.

As I said, I started collecting my new clothes 1 year ago – it was the beginning of my transition. First, I started to go out in leggings and some nice sweaters and blouses. I had a lot of staring at me back then. It was annoying and not pleasant at all. At that time I could only dream about passing and wearing dresses, but to wear them without a good passing would be making fun of myself, if not something worse.
At the beginning of my T, I met a beautiful and very feminine woman Alexandra - a visagiste, stylist and a make-up artist in the beauty salon. I confided to her, and she became my ideal of a woman, my close friend and a teacher, who helped (and still helps) me to become a successful woman. She was my worst critic, but at the same time, while I was progressing, she encouraged me to dress more and more girly and come to her work (of course, it was during the daytime and in the crowds of people on the streets, lol). But it was a good experience.
Finally, my feminine nature and our combined work with Sasha did what I am now – just a girl!

P.S. I'd like to express my gratitude to my dear friend LearnedHand for the beautiful shawl that he made himself and gifted/sent to me. Henry, please know that I will care and give your work of art a proper use for a long long time.

All your clothes and the shawl look very beautiful on you Albina, and your sleeveless shirts and dresses really show off your lovely arms and shoulders. Should we expect a Fall/Winter Fashion Show in a few months?  ;D

Since I still dress like a girl at work, I am going to have to copy you with the black pencil skirt with the white shirt and belt. That looks really nice and professional.

Thank you so much, Henry - you words are the sweetest music to me!
Ahaha! I don't know, maybe we will credit this  honor to somebody else?
I am so tired after the whole day of shooting, but it was enjoyable. Besides, I now have my new album. My friend from Germany who brought me the camera we were shooting with today, already replied after viewing the pics: "Just one word - chic! Now I see Albina 100%".

Yes, I like that business style attire too. I actually copied it from the model girl from the Fashion TV.

Oh my Albina! You look amazing in all of your new clothes! Absolutely beautiful. I like all of them, but my favorites are the red leopard print dress(WOW), the white dress(oh my SO cute), and also the sleeveless checkered top dress with black waist.  Thanks for posting all of these for us to see. I love them all, you're such a classy girl!

Oh, and wow, amazing job, Henry on the shaw. I'm impressed.

I absolutely adore fashion. I live for the TV show Fashion Police and have a addiction to Pinterest. lol... I see you have a mix match prints in there which is the trend right now. Some great colors you have in the mix as well.

I particularly love these two outfits the most.

I also really love this look. You can't go wrong with a pencil skirt. Very classy.

Yes, c'mon Spring let's have a style show!

How do I put a link in a post on here?  If I can't do that, I'll have to wait until I can find someone to take a pic of me in the dress when it arrives in 7 business days lol.

I usually just copy and paste, and it tends to work

Hey, Spring!

Ask me whenever you have your pic ready and have problems with pasting or giving a link to your album - this one is the easiest.
Besides, since you will be taking a pic anyway, may I ask to show your other dresses and skirts that you sure have. Please!

And Learnhand, I wish you could show us your attires too. Please, do!

Your Albina.

Ah, I don't have much fashion sense, and I haven't found any nice clothes my size, so for men's clothes I've mostly just been wearing t-shirts and jeans.

However, here's the latest FTM casual wear (that Em so kindly made into a shirt at my request: http://skreened.com/gyrlsandbois/hen-to-rooster (http://skreened.com/gyrlsandbois/hen-to-rooster))

And, here's more clothes that I'd wear in public outside of Pride Fest  :P

Any fashion tips on men's clothes is appreciated.  :)

And about tips on men's clothes. Personally I was learning and developing my style (I love European) based on viewing the German clothes catalogs, such as Otto, Baur, Quelle, Bader and some others. With some variations and improvasitions I could make a bit of my own style. But yes, when I was a boy, I was also keen to my clothes and how I dress. I still have a lot of classy brand clothes made in Germany and Italy. I preferred Italian made shoes and suits.
Mostly two types of costumes: classical, business - for work, and casual - for all other activities.  But any of them try to have of the good brand.
2 suits at least to have: classical black one and a lighter one, which could be of a more modern style, like this for example here:

Hey Spring!

Unfortunately it is just snowing here in Berlin (Germany) but nethertheless I decided to dress up for going out. I love to dress up, sometimes the look may be a little too girly for my age but I like this style:

Okay, let's see if those two worked! 🙂 if they did, thanks Henry!  One of the dresses I ordered for a wedding I'm a bridesmaid in so that one will be shipped to the brides house. The other I ordered for a wedding I'm just attending, I should have that one in a week and I'll post a 'real life' picture of me in it when I get it.....although I'm no where near as tall as the models wearing them in. The pictures, so I'm guessing I'll need them hemmed.

Thanks Albina!

Dear Spring,

Oh my gosh! These 2 dresses are absolutely stunning, as well as the model girls wearing them. I just can imagine how beautiful and proper they would be on you.
I unreservedly LOVE them and so happy for you, Stephanie!
I will be looking forward to your pics. If the dresses are long, yes, please hem, and they will be perfect on your slim and so feminine figure. Do yourself this favor that you deserve.

@Lara,

Very nice outfit, which  fits you perfectly. Thank you for sharing!

Edit: to fix photos

You are dressed much like me in my daily uniform which usually consists of skinny jeans, Rhonda Shear wireless racerback to minimize the pointiness and jiggles, black or dark crew neck T shirt, zip front hooded sweat shirt or vest, baseball cap and athletic shoes. A lot of women dress the same way locally for just hanging out.

Learned, you might add a sport jacket or two to your wardrobe, if you are on the petite side check out the boys department for fit. It seems that most men's and boy's jeans are cut low-rise and sometimes don't do a person any justice through the pelvic area and a little fattiness can squish over the tops. You don't appear to have that problem, but I find that Lee Jeans are cut with a higher rise, I like the top button at my navel and hate the (jeans hanging off my ass look.)

LH,

I think you look great...to be honest I think guys look hotter when they're going for casual. If you begin wearingmen's attire, think sliimed leg dress pants and just regular button up dress shirt with the first couple of buttons undone around the collar...that's always a good look . I'm not huge on seeing jackets on men, especially since you have a younger look. For casual, tshirt and baggier jeans are always cute, but I love guys in regular hooded sweatshirts...not overly baggy. But you've been working out too, so before you know it, you're going to be rockin muscle tees! 🙂

Henna,
Please, don't hesitate to show us your pics when you receive your new attires. They really look amazing, like my friend Spring said.

Spring,
I guess we would have made a perfect company for go-together shopping, and yeah, spending money. But what otherwise we live for, if not making ourselves happy at some times. Please, show off your new shoes whenever you get them.
And thank you for sharing my interests, or I would be bored to read just problems threads here.

Albina, the suit looks quite nice. I don't know any Italian suit places nearby that I can currently afford, though I am going to try to save up to get some nicer looking outfits like that and maybe try Men's Wearhouse.
Lara you look really cute, and you definitely got the stand in those heels down  🙂 (and it's snowing here too! So much for the start of spring lol)

Stephanie, those dresses are cute and you'll look really good in those. I love Ann Taylor for girls clothes, it's one of the few stores that carries good petite sizes.

Lol, I wish I read this before hitting  up H&M today.

This is what I bought (along with two female dress shirts for work, one's a light pin stripped blue, another is light pin stripped pink), I really like the gray shirt, the green in okay, but I think I can get away wearing the green in female mode on our ultra casual days at work:

I'm not buying into the muffin top theory of yours my friend, no way! You look trim and fit to me. The shirts are cool but one thing that my spouse pointed out to me back when I was self consciously trying to conceal the boobies is that button breast pockets accentuates that which you are trying to hide, just thought I'd pass that on.

I'm always getting lessons from her on how to dress, like if you have a big butt you don't want button down back pockets and/or a lot of glitter designs on the seat of your jeans to draw attention to the problem areas, or wide belts with big buckles if you are thick waisted. It's all about camouflaging those places you don't want to show off to make a negative statement. It goes for both boys and girls. BTW - Concerning sports jackets keep in mind that they come in both long and short in whatever chest size you need.

Serena,
Thank you for sharing the Pinterest site address – I enjoyed looking at both -  men's and girls' pages, which give many fresh ideas.

And I'd like to share my sister's favorite and what I myself am very much impressed with:
http://www.wolfordshop.fr/produits/boutique/looks/g500005214 (http://www.wolfordshop.fr/produits/boutique/looks/g500005214)

My sister lives in Paris, France and usually shops in that high style fashion boutique (and where she bought that Cheetah dress that you saw on me, btw).

LearnedHand, I am so sorry I didn't recognize you at all! But you got so much changed, so manly handsome and elegant!  :D
I used to wear these kind of shirts and I liked them. BTW, they look great on you, especially the grey one. Oh my boy, I just can imagine how gorgeous you would be in a good stylish suit, not necessarily Italian made, since they might be expensive enough.

I agree with auntie Shan – hers are some nice tips.

Spring, so sorry, but the link doesn't let me see your new white boots.
..Hugh? I already feel jealous about your new dresses, btw.   ;D

BTW, it is getting warm in my country -  +16-18 by Celsius, and I am already going out in my dresses! 😉

Spring, your photo link didn't work for me either, I wonder if I need a flickr account to see?

Albina, those are some pretty fancy looking clothes. I like how the 1920s styles (for the headgear at least) seems to be coming back. I've always liked fashion from the '20s to the '50s.

LH,
But you've been working out too, so before you know it, you're going to be rockin muscle tees! :)

With the green shirt I bought today, I originally tried on a size extra-small (didn't even know they made XS for men's) but it was too small on the shoulders, so I had to go up to a small.  ;D I do tend to be more of a casually dressed person, I'd feel silly being all dressed up just to go to my discount grocery store where most people just wear their pajamas lol. Though for more special occassions, I really like this look (which I first got into after seeing Inception and there was that one character always in the vest): http://www.menswearhouse.com/shop/p_pronto-uomo-platinum-suit-separates-vest,-black_12001_700000430_12751_700300711_-1_700000430_____default (http://www.menswearhouse.com/shop/p_pronto-uomo-platinum-suit-separates-vest,-black_12001_700000430_12751_700300711_-1_700000430_____default)

Thanks for telling me that Shantel, I do usualy wear my shirts unbuttoned over a plain t-shirts though. Luckily, that grey shirts fits really well and doesn't cling too much around the chest (that I've noticed). I'll have to stay on the lookout for button-ups without the front pockets.

LearnedHand,

My computer has finally managed to open the link with a vest. I think that is a good idea. Adding the matching vest to the suit is very useful for any special occasion, as well as just for office type of work. Very classy classic style that never lose, but gain. You will be so elegant young man, drawing all the attention of girls! Believe me.  😉

Some news for you, fashionistas!
Today I decided to go out to some of our best central women's stores to see what new clothes they might have. On visiting the first one, I was attracted by the skirts department. There, I was trying on two skirts: white and red. But after putting on the red one, the sales girl and I agreed that the red skirt fits me better. So, here it is:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1291.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fb554%2FAlbinaLance%2FIMG_0072_zpse367710f.jpg&hash=4d4cf9665ee566d883c7e9cd3a61061aa32705e6)

Then, on visiting the second store, I saw a nice white & pink striped top, which could be perfect for my new red skirt, thus making a nice and trendy beach time collection for the summer.

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1291.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fb554%2FAlbinaLance%2FIMG_0075_zps55331255.jpg&hash=7f24492764525e0f0cbb20b1feae7d07745a4e1a)

Next, on visiting the third store, I already knew what I wanted there.- it is the colorful shawl for some windy or chilly evenings during this spring and summer:

And my new beach time (and not only) look is this:

Okay, let's see if those two worked! 🙂 if they did, thanks Henry!  One of the dresses I ordered for a wedding I'm a bridesmaid in so that one will be shipped to the brides house. The other I ordered for a wedding I'm just attending, I should have that one in a week and I'll post a 'real life' picture of me in it when I get it.....although I'm no where near as tall as the models wearing them in. The pictures, so I'm guessing I'll need them hemmed.

Thanks Albina!

Hey Spring!

I am wondering if you have received your new fabulous dresses.  :)
I can't wait to see them on you, and how beautiful you will be!

Hey fashionistas!

When I am in doubt, I usually ask my friend - a make up artist and stylist Alexandra. Such the case was with that flourish blouse, when, before ordering it, I asked her if I would be ok to wear such a girly thing. And she said - yes, you would be fine (and this conversation was early on my transition, about a year back!). And here I am now in that blouse, which I like very much, and I will be wearing it outside, when it gets warmer:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1291.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fb554%2FAlbinaLance%2FIMG_0022_zpsbfcea5bc.jpg&hash=eaba0877ae5e9719773fde6a50188b6222182a32)

You're looking mighty pretty in that top dear friend! It's always good to have a girlfriend as a sounding board for your fashion ideas anyway. I see as many cis women as I do trans women with no fashion sense. For that matter it would seem to me that a lot of trans women I've seen who dress time, place and age appropriately often look better because they have to try harder. You look very nice Albina, Auntie Shan sends you a long distance hug and a squeeze.  😀

..which I am gladly accepting, auntie. As always, your words are wise, thank you!  :)

A nice story happened to me today: I met a very close relative on the street - my step-mother of my gone father. We didn't see each other since last summer and were just talking on the phone a couple of times (when I told her about my transition).
So, I called her on the street while she was passing by. She looked at me, not recognizing. After a while she recognized, hugged me and took to her place for lunch. We spent an hour together, talking and sharing the news. She was completely amazed at my change. At the end she said: "Now I really understand why you have started the transition – you are a girl all over: the appearance, manners, and gestures. You'd better be born a girl from the start, but even now you look feminine and cute enough. You are a live copy of your mother. I would never recognized that girl calling me on the street!".

Hey guys! What is up?

I've got some news. I've been to some clothes stores today, looking around what new they have.
Today I went out in one of my favorite - lila-schwarz dress. The guys on the street were a bit of a nuisance - looking on my legs (btw, I epilated them and they look nice), etc. But the good thing about guys was that they were polite enough to give me their seats in the city buses. So nice! Good guys.

I've got some news. I've been to some brand named stores today, just looking around what new clothes they might have.
Today I went out in my lila-schwarz dress. In the stores I tried on those cute and trendy things on the pics. I liked them.

So, I went like this today:

Hey girls and boys! What is up?

Today I made a buy I was looking for for quite a while – a black dress, which is a classic and a necessity for a girl. I was very happy to find it finally, and that dress was the only one, and luckily it was right my size! I also bought a trendy silver narrow belt for the dress (though it is not in the pic)., which makes an image even more elegant.

Thank you so much! I am so glad to hear your comments, since they are from a woman who knows girly things!
Black is my favorite, it is the color in my horoscope as well.

BTW, did you have your new dresses received? I can't wait to see them on you.

Hey miss albina!

Yeah I do have problems posting pics....photobucket isn't working for me, and you all said you couldn't see the images when I posted on flickr:(

Anyway, one of the dresses did arrive, I guess I ordered the wrong size, because it was huge and swamping me. I think these stores have made their sizes bigger in recent years; the whole 'vanity sizing' thing. Anyway, I went to the store to try to exchange to a size smaller, but they said I had to do it via online because that dress was only in their online inventory.....what a mess. Anyway, so mailed that dress back on Saturday. I hope the next size down will fit properly because the wedding is coming up SOON! This is why I like to shop in stores and try things onfirst.....but online is so much easier...especially since shopping with sebastian always seems to end in disaster :)  we shall see.

Hey Spring!

Sorry to hear about the wrong size dress confusion – that is always disappointing. I just hope you will get the proper sized one right in time for the wedding.  :)

If you don't mind, when you have your pics ready (after the event, probably), you can send them to me by email with a link to your photobucket album – I will upload the pics for you in your album. You will be able to post them here then.

Kisses,
Miss Albina.

Hey guys! What is up?

Today the weather in my country was just fine: +29C, and I decided to go shopping like that on the pic. It was so nice outside – the traffic is much lazier and the streets are not that hectic on Saturdays and Sundays. The trees are getting green and the smell of spring is everywhere and absolutely wonderful! I was feeling totally happy (despite the guys checking me out, lol)...

Since the summer and the beach seasons are approaching, I got myself fully epilated recently – the areas were the arms (just a bit of hairs there) and the legs. Now it is a pleasure to wear short skirts, dresses and a bathing suit!  :)

And one more thing to show is a trench coat.
It was in my list of things to buy for my new wardrobe. So, when I saw it today in our central women clothes store, I couldn't resist buying it – it was of a modern style and a trendy color, which was right for me. To make it even more pleasurable, the sales girl told me the coat is 75% off the original price, which was $80!  :D

How are you and Sebastian? Hope all is well with you, apart from the spoiled trench coat, lol, though sorry to hear about that. You definitely need a new one!

Yes, I absolutely adore my new trench coat – I was looking for it for a while. You know t is light and comfortable to wear esp. in a windy and rainy weather. And it is looking so feminine and elegant!  :D

..Aww, thank you for the compliments! I like that mini skirt too. I wear it with stockings when I feel myself naughty (ahaha), though it causes and draws the looks.

That is a good idea, thank you! I will make a note of it in my Fashion & Style Notebook. I was also thinking to wear a light airy scarf on top (don't know what fabric they are made of - pashmina?). But yeah, at least for a start until I get used to such decollete!
And for chilly times your shawl will be right handy.  :)

People at temple seem to wear mostly Indian clothing, but despite the beautiful fabrics, I am not into Indian clothes that much, I perfer Middle Eastern styles. I need something longer, because I hate feeling that my butt is showing whenever I need to bow and jeans aren't that comfortable when you have to sit on the floor. I was thinking of ordering a male galabiyya, but then I saw this http://www.inayahcollection.com/scarlet-braid-abaya-p-844.html (http://www.inayahcollection.com/scarlet-braid-abaya-p-844.html) and fell in love with the color (I love red!), but they're out of stock so I decided to just sew my own.

Since they're out of stock at the site (and it's expensive), I just got some nice jersey fabric and two patterns which I am going to mesh together to make the "scarlet braid abaya". I'll post a picture once I finish making it.

I'm with you especially on the short rise jeans that if you have a decently rounded bottom they expose your under ware and butt crack if you squat or sit on the floor, there's nothing pleasant about that under any circumstances. So that's so neat that you are able to make your own garment, can't wait to see the finished product.

LearnHand,

Your Scarlet Braid Abaia looks absolutely wonderful! I am sure you can make yourself like the one on the link, no need to spend money.
It actually reminds me of the ancient times when women were wearing such long dresses, like in ancient Egypt or Greece – Cleopatra, and Thais. So wise and beautiful! And I loved and admired those women from the books I read.

Auntie, I love your new avatar picture - such beautiful eyes!  🙂

I have all the pieces cut out, and hopefully I can get sewing once I get home from work tomorrow. It did save me money, but I still spent about $60 on the fabric (though I bought 2 extra yards since the pattern I was basing it off it was sleeveless and stopped at the knees, but even with my modifications I still have a ton left). If it turns out well and is easy to sew, I might try making another one in forest green or brown.

Please.. Whenever you have time. You will love it, I am sure.
I always loved reading books about American Indians. But this story is absolutely unbelievable - that woman is such a strong character! ..Please, let me know about your impression after reading it.

Laura and I are reading it now, it was horrendous what those women suffered. The writer is excellent and portrays everything so graphically that I feel as if I'm there.

Thanks for turning us on to the story, we are avid readers. One of my friends, an American Indian is also reading it. I have chided him about the hidden beast within himself that he must have inherited from his forefathers.  😀 ;D

OK guys,

I've found an absolutely fabulous dress - the style I always admired and envied  girls, wearing them. So, I decided to go for it instead of the pink one, which I showed before. Here it is:

What do you think?

Cute, I can see why they call it "Pussy Delux" is is a bit short and not exactly age appropriate don't you think so? You may want to consider how much attention you want to draw to yourself.

Auntie, thank you for your opinion.
Though it is short only on the picture. The total length says it is right above my knees. Speaking of the style, i don't think it is age limited (and I am not that old/old-looking anyways, thanks!  :)). I remember my mother in her eldest age was wearing such a dress and looked lovely. ..I will definitely go for it.  ..I am used to the attention - it is positive and drawn regardless what I am dressed in - skirts, dresses or jeans/leggings.

Ooh I like that too! We're going to have to build you a bigger house with walk-in closets Girly-Girl, you are fast becoming a clothes horse! My wife is big on shoes not unlike Amelda Marcos. Thank you for the offer, auntie - it is very timely, since my wardrobe is almost full with the new girl's clothes! I even had to make an inventory list of what I have – by clothes categories and by combination attires, which is very useful, since I don't need to think twice – just look in the list and find the appropriate attire for the event! And only dresses there are already 11 - on my first year of the new life!

Albina,

Very cute teal dress! I love it, you're so slender it will look great on you:) as far as anything being short, just remember if you drop something and need to retrieve it, don't lean over , do the 'ladylike swoop' knees together then squat gently down to pick it up! You're a classy girl, albina.

what is the overall consensus on camouflage? Go or no-go?

I love the camouflage mini-skirt.

Albina, just a big fyi....do you have sensitive skin? If you do, there are so many different types of facials...and some if you have sensitive skin can make you break out, so tell the aesthetician before hand what your skin type is so that they can recommend a facial that will work well for you! Have fun

Spring,

Oh yeah, I got my skin quite sensitive – it is now so much easy to put the bruises on, even from not so hard bumps.  ::)
It was good that I had a tea tree oil to apply after the electrolysis - it soothed my face considerably.
Thank you for the advice! I will let the cosmetologist know (I remember my experience from before, and it burnt like ouch!).

Hello guys,

Today I was downtown in the city's brand shoes store "Basconi". I was basically looking for my second, excuse me, third heels  - I'd like the ones with an open toe - right for the hot season.
On the picture, I am in that store, trying some of the heels on.
BTW, I am wearing the schwarz-rosa tunic, which I recently said was received from Germany. I love it so much!

Today I continued searching for my second, sorry, now third pair of heels (I showed my two pairs before). Now I wanted them with an open toe for a hot season. I tried some today until I found these amazing sandal-type of my favorite color,. They looked nice on me and felt great, so I couldn't help buying them!  I am happy now, as a girl could be!  :D
On the way back I also bought two pairs of nice sheer pantyhoses and sheer liners, minding LH tip here!

Those are very cute shoes, and glad you remembered the liners! Blisters are the worst thigns to get in heels.

For shoes:

I recently bought some male dress shoes. They're really comfortable, though I feel like they make my feet look huge lol:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1337.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo665%2FLearnedHand1%2FIMG_20130427_112913_883_zpsd9d07911.jpg&hash=b15b4c51f030bb64901dd2537d362f616f8e803b) (http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/LearnedHand1/media/IMG_20130427_112913_883_zpsd9d07911.jpg.html)

I also have these antique shoes from my grandmother, I think they were made in the 1940s or 1950s; they're both leather (with suede on the black ones) and made in Brazil.

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1337.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo665%2FLearnedHand1%2FIMG_20130427_113210_471_zps15a08bcb.jpg&hash=4ffe56fc7e9146cf347ae378523e3260090a9ce3) (http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/LearnedHand1/media/IMG_20130427_113210_471_zps15a08bcb.jpg.html)

I need to get the heel fixed on these, but unlike modern day shoes where the heel tip screws in (and you can usually buy heel tips at the shoe store and screw them in yourself), these were nailed in, so I need to bring them to a cobbler.

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1337.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo665%2FLearnedHand1%2FIMG_20130427_113242_357_zps0e0dc901.jpg&hash=72c4c59771efff3411f4b08c7d650e8e530496ad) (http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/LearnedHand1/media/IMG_20130427_113242_357_zps0e0dc901.jpg.html)

Here's the black ones:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1337.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo665%2FLearnedHand1%2FIMG_20130427_113444_051_zps85ee98b8.jpg&hash=4f29102fdd345c014570fb69922cacb2fbdaef70) (http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/LearnedHand1/media/IMG_20130427_113444_051_zps85ee98b8.jpg.html)

And, beacause suede has to be difficult, I need to also bring these to the cleaners:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1337.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo665%2FLearnedHand1%2FIMG_20130427_113359_916_zpsed78b598.jpg&hash=5fc7bba0cc6855f21213cf6995357f904ee12846) (http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/LearnedHand1/media/IMG_20130427_113359_916_zpsed78b598.jpg.html)

Since I was sick all week, I haven't had the time to finish the red abaya, so that will need to wait a little bit (maybe if I finish my paper today I'll allow myself time to work on it tomorrow), but in the meantime I've been looking at some coat patterns. Unfortunately, there's not many male sewing patterns out there, but in my search I came across this and decide I couldn't pass it up. So, after the abaya, I am planning on making this:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1337.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo665%2FLearnedHand1%2Fcape_zpsa6758f2d.jpg&hash=dfd1c800282c3bb3afac212bfe9680adcd823bf6) (http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/LearnedHand1/media/cape_zpsa6758f2d.jpg.html)

Though I'll probably do the collar a little differently if I decide to do it without the hood.

(It's McCall's M6446)

And for summer jewelry (and since Albina said she liked Indian stuff), I did just make this for one of my male friends as a graduation present:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1337.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo665%2FLearnedHand1%2FIMG_20130421_220211_793_zps7f21d271.jpg&hash=5c7e5d714472868d2155a9ffd9025148d569701e) (http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/LearnedHand1/media/IMG_20130421_220211_793_zps7f21d271.jpg.html)

It's made out of buffalo horn, leather, brass, melon shell, and glass beads. I am thinking about making a smaller one for myself.

LH, wow, I'm really liking that necklace. I agree with auntie shan...you are so artistic! Hi Spring.

Thank you for the greetings and comments! Yeah, I absolutely love that white beauty dress! As you know, I have a short sleeved white dress too.
To go with these dresses and shoes, today I also bought a white scarf, t is very light (good for summer) with kind of crystals engraved on one side, and a blue fringe barrett, which holds my fringe perfectly in place.
Some time later, I will add a blue clutch bag to complete the ensemble.

Hey guys! What is up?

Spring, have you received your dresses? Can't wait to see them.

OK, today I bought a new item for my wardrobe. It is a bolero jacket (on the 2nd pic), the sportive type with zippers and decorative buttons on the sides. It also can be done short or long sleeved – very convenient. As soon as I tried it on, I didn't have any doubts about buying it. :)

And my new favorite skirt is this. It is very light and airy (100% viscose) and almost comes up with a small wind  😀 :

I can't tell much about it because you are far from the mirror, but it looks like a floral pattern maybe? be sure and have some nice panties on when wearing it.  ;D

Yes, auntie, it is a floral pattern, very pleasing to the eyes, not so bright.
Hahaha! Thank you for the advice. It is timely. The guys, as I notice more and more now, like to follow at some distance and study me from behind, lol - it is so funny that makes me loughing!

Today I went out in a black dress (OMG, too much attention, even from girls who are mostly in jeans). I dropped by the store to try on a red jacket, which I am going to buy soon. This one:

Today I bought a white lace bolero for my black cocktail dress (for some decency-minded occasions  :)). Also, my new white scarf can be added (with or better without a bolero. I just put it on for the picture.

P.S. There is a sales-girl - my nice friend behind me.  :)

Love the black dress with lace over it! So cute. I think that white lace is a great addition, it would look so good over little spring/summer pastel type dresses too 🙂 . Thanksfor posting so many great pics miss albina! I swear girl, your legs are killer, I wish my thighs looked like yours.

LearnedHand, you spotted everything correct - it really has a flow that makes me femme dizzy.  :)

Spring,
Ha! I am appreciating my legs now, thanks to you. Thank you very much! :D
And yeah, that is a good tip to use this lace on some of my other dresses.

The jacket fits you very well, and the blue shoes will be great

I saw some shirts in the display window at Macy's on Saturday that looked nice, but I didn't go in since I was carry a lot of stuff and figured I'd look online, but their website is really confusing (or its just not showing up right on my browser), so I think I am going to have to go to a brick and mortar store and check it out.

Sure it is always better to see and try on the clothes in the store, rather than check on the net (though at times I have to do that  :)). So, please do that favor for yourself, and I can't wait to see your new looks.  :)

Albina:

I bought a new skirt to wear to work, since I think we'll be in for a hot summer here and I know I don't want to be wearing a wool suit everyday. I picked this up at Chico's.

I also bought a white shirt, along with a second one in black,  with sleeves that go down to the elbows to wear with the skirt. I could also wear the shirts with my suit pants for a more casual look than a button up shirt.

I also bought another guy shirt:

Hey LearnedHand!
Congratulations on your new clothes! Your both attires look great on you!
I love the skirt most!  🙂 And your new shirts should go well with the skirt, I suppose.

Sorry for the late reply - I am not often here these days, but more to the womens' fashion places and forums where I am learning a lot, and since it is time for me to move forward and ultimately arrive to where my transition was aimed at - womanhood.

The news on my side is good. Yesterday I was at MIA - our central women clothes store - I have some women friends there, and they asked me to demonstrate my Cheetah dress (as you remember, it was gifted for my B-Day by my sister in Paris, from here http://www.wolfordshop.fr/produit/boutique/cheetah-dress/58171/g500004720 (http://www.wolfordshop.fr/produit/boutique/cheetah-dress/58171/g500004720) ).
So, I went first time out in that dress (I knew it would make a sensation in the city, here), black stockings (not net or dotted pattern which I was also sent for the dress, or it would be too sexy, lol) and my new 3-5/8" high heels (I was taking some classes to walk on high heels, so it was easier for me at the time).
At the store the girls came up and encircled me, commenting on the dress – they were quite impressed! :D

Lara that looks really nice, I often wear a similar looking suit, though in black, to work. I wish white or other colors were more acceptable to wear where I work, unfortunately I am stuck with charcoal, grey, and navy.

BTW, for women's button up dress shirts, am I supposed to wear some kind of an undershirt?

Luckily our dress code is more casual as long as we do not have a customer visit at our facilities. The other women normally are wearing trousers and a blouse. I prefer wearing a formal skirt instead of trousers.
Could you also wear dark mauve dresses or brown?

Oh my, yeah, I love the cheetah dress, you are just the right shape to pull it off so well too! You are so contemporary chic & beautiful, girl!

Lara, that white suit looks absolutely amazing on you! Killer shoes too :)

Thank you, dear! I loved your comments throughout this thread, and they meant much for me and for my growth.

By the way, I see you have got a picture from the wedding, I guess, on your avatar. You look so beautiful and fresh in that red teel dress! You should wear dresses instead of jeans.  :)  Kisses,

Dear Miss Albina,

You are too sweet, but I'm afraid i rarely ever have the chance to wear dresses 🙁 you are the total romantically feminine girly girl, not me! The wedding was awesome & fun though. Sebastian had such a great time & if I may say, he looked so cute in his little ring bearer tux 🙂 so glad to see the thread still going, I love seeing your fashion trends!

I am sorry I will be out for some time from here. But when I return, I will show you my new images, including the ones on the beach. Hope to see yours too.

Kisses,

You know, now I am more than ever the exact copy of my mother, and that makes me happy even more!  :D

I will entirely copy off your comment into my diary, so that one day I would read it to my daughter and her future children, and they would be proud of their mother and grandmother.

Oh, miss Albina; you need not worry about your daughter and grandchildren being proud of you....you are the epitome of a 'lady'....think Audrey Hepburn. You are classy and stylish and have the good sense to conduct yourself as a woman they can look up too.

Oh, you found out my guilty pleasure :).....I absolutely LOvE to read and write! For the last 4 months of my pregnancy with sebastian I wasn't working or taking classes, so I would write all day working on a novel....lol. it was fun, but unfortunately since he was born I haven't had an over abundance of 'me' time 🙂 that's okay, I'll have my time when he's a teenager, by then he won't think I'm as fun as his friends.

You're an amazing woman & a great friend. Keep posting us your fashion photos. Oh, and I have been looking out for a white summer dress, something that is casual so that I can still wear it for everyday, if you come across one in your online shopping please send me the link!

Spring,

I am so much flattered with the comparison, thanks a lot!

That is great! I guess you should keep writing and finish your novel, and then publish it. I am sure that many readers all over the world (especially women!) would be eager to read your book(s), as I am eager to do it now.
Really, now I am trying to find and read books, written by women mostly (the author of "Follow The River" James Alexander Thom is a rare exception and a real master. Please read this his book, if you didn't already).

Stephanie, I will look for the dress that you are asking, that is no problem and a real pleasure for me!

We've been reading "Follow the River" what a horrifying experience those women suffered through! It is amazing how their will to live gave them the inner strength to go on through such adversity.

Albina,
You have impeccable taste dear lady! I can see Spring in any of those as well but I am especially partial to any of the top three for her, she has a pretty petite figure and would look just stunning, the first one with the high bodice and spaghetti straps would really do it for her. (Hope your listening Spring honey!)

Thank you, auntie, you are very kind!  :)

If Spring selects from the top three dresses, I just hope that she woudn't have problems with ordering from Germany.

Miss albina,

Thank you so much for all of the links! I like the strapless ones too, but I tthink my favorite is the one you already have! I remember that one, it's such a gorgeous dress.

Auntie shan, you're rightt, I mostly do wear the spaghetti straps with dresses lol...you know us all so well! I found one just yesterday, I'll try to find the link.

Title: Re: My 2013 Spring/Summer Clothes. Out in White.

Hey guys! What is up?

Today I was out in my other favorite – white dress (it has golden buttons with ship's anchor on them, which I love). It was waiting its time in the wardrobe, and this morning I desperately wanted to wear it! In short, it was a fabulous city walk, though with many check out looks (which I am used to anyway and never paying attention, lol).

OK, here it goes:

Okay, let's see if those two worked! 🙂 if they did, thanks Henry!  One of the dresses I ordered for a wedding I'm a bridesmaid in so that one will be shipped to the brides house. The other I ordered for a wedding I'm just attending, I should have that one in a week and I'll post a 'real life' picture of me in it when I get it.....although I'm no where near as tall as the models wearing them in. The pictures, so I'm guessing I'll need them hemmed.

Thanks Albina!

Your thought's are quite good, i am not saying that because of the post but for your signature..

"Wolford Magic Dress
Magic moments: easy to evoke with this tailored, elegant, seamlessly knitted dress. Seductive knitted lace look that emphasises the wearer's femininity. The dress looks particularly fashionably elegant when worn with the matching belt and gloves."

I love it, but I don't think I would look anything like the model in that ad.

Also, I'd like to show to fashionistas here my today's look.  :D
My attire consisted of Melrose white dress, blue Rendy shoes, and accessories: Arthur&Aston bag, Ray-Ban sunglasses, and pearl necklace and bracelet.

Hey guys! What's up?

I just came back from our country's best place – a huge mountain lake, which is 300 km from my home place. I was so eagerly awaiting for this (my first!) beach time season, since it was supposed to be spent in my new gender status! There, I have spent 1 week of fantastic and exciting time! As I promised, here I will show some of the pictures that I made there.

At the private resort place, where I was staying.
