Title: Make a Getaway!
Post by: DirtyFox on March 18, 2013, 05:11:06 AM
What's your favorite place to go to relax? Maybe an exotic place? Maybe the local library? Where do you like to visit or vacation? Do you like hotels or do you brave the wilds and camp out?

I personally love going to Wisconsin out in the middle of the wilderness. Dense forestry is really my peace and calm, just beware the wildlife. It was amazingly beautiful this past winter. I love how the moon lights everything at night and you see all manner of critters scurry around on the snow. Rolling hills, frozen streams. It was fantastic :).

I'd prefer to be hiding out somewhere in the snow until I can't feel my face or my hands anymore, but since I'm in Vegas right now I have to make do with the little patch of desert a couple of streets over from my house. I used to love spending unhealthy amounts of time in the library until they started doing story time every two hours and it became a daycare.  ::)

Believe it or not, but having a house that needs remodeling would be the perfect getaway.  Especially if I had access to all the supplies I needed.

You could make some good money that way, too!

Having something to fix or build to do while listening to classical music on YouTube is my ideal way to relax. I multitask regardless, so fixing a watch or a dog toy is much better than picking holes in the furniture.
