Title: DIY FTM Supplies

Since I'm so broke I've been considering using my dog as a pot roast, I've been trying to make my own harness. I have to say, by the third try I've done more sewing in the last few months than I thought I would do in my entire life. I also tried the cheap rolled-sock-packer, which turned out looking like I'd stuffed a roll of duct tape in my pants.
Have anyone else tried to make their own gear? How did it turn out (if it did)?

Tough as leather. Cooking dog is very tricky, the marinade is crucial to success. Oh, I see you moved on to harnesses, I don't know anything about that! Hugs, Devlyn

Devlyn: Shh... She'll smell the marinade and I'll never catch her. ;D I just need a big enough pan to stick her in.
Anibioman: I'm not remotely brave enough to go there. If I can't do it with a sock, I'm not trying it with mounds of hair gel. I gave in and bought a cheap packer but I'm going to make everything else myself (someday).

You can make an elastic harness for like $3 and no sewing necessary, you just tie the 2 pieces together.

I made a sock for the packer (I'll leave the cute little rhyme for a real company). It's not too hard, get a sock, put a hole in it sew around the hole, stick the shaft out the hole. It works nicely. You either use a safety pin or velcro to attach to your underwear.
You can look up how to do this on youtube.
Ok Devlyn you should be fired but I guess they aren't paying you. :)

This is what I did. It's just... my sewing is so terrible I had to do it a couple of times to get it right. The third try isn't bad but it needs a little more adjustment. Thanks for all of the tips!
