Title: Does this binder exist?
Post by: Nygeel on March 24, 2013, 01:40:34 AM
I think I remembered seeing a binder that had velcro shoulder straps (for people who are post op). A friend of mine has really broad shoulders and has been looking for a binder that adjusts in the shoulder area. Any ideas?

Yeah, just wish they were more affordable.

What about modifying a regular binder?  Cutting the straps, somehow keeping the ends from coming apart, then attaching velcro?  I'm not a DIY person so I'm not entirely sure that would work though.

Totally doable. There's just somebody I was talking to who has very broad shoulders and found that the straps on binders were too short.

I think my old surgical binder had velcro on the shoulders, but I don't think it was designed to compress the same way an Underworks binder does. I don't know; I wore it for only three or four weeks post-surgery. Try surgical supply houses?
