-Police quickly grabbed about a dozen demonstrators and forced them into a bus, including the Russian gay rights movement leader Nikolai Alexeyev. Police then hustled away others, including German parliament member Volker Beck, as opponents threw eggs and shouted: ``Moscow is not Sodom!'-

-Despite being decriminalized, homosexuality is still widely despised in Russia.-

-No gay rights opponents were seen taken away by police, though Gildeyev said a man was detained after attacking a Briton,-

(Editorial; It should be, "Russian police assist homophobic crowd in attacking Gay Activists" )

Very true Karen.

But this time they roughed up some ministers from the EU!

They are going to be very sorry they did that, because the EU will tell them to take a hike if they cannot control their own bigots. Unfortunately, this will further isolate the Russians from the rest of the continent, not just economically this time. Going to get really weird.
