I first posted this in the fitness ection with no luck so I'm moving it. ANy opinion would be great
I am not on HRT yet and am trying to bulk up, creatine seems to be the possible answer to my request. Unfortunately I can't find good opinions on how it really affects females (as in females who have actually taken it). WHat I can find is references suggesting female formula creatine, unfortunatley it was made so females would not have some of the side affects of creatine (like bulking up) so that is out of the question.
So has anyone used this as a muscle builder? If so what has been you experience? I plan on passing on the loading phase as I really don't want to take that much if the jury is still out if it really makes a difference. I also take several other supplements so I am trying to keep it at as little as possible.
Thanks
Myles

Didn't respond before because I have no idea. Never taken anything except testosterone to bulk up.

Creatine is safe for women, just keep in mind that creatine can increase bloating. In and of itself creatine does not create muscle mass, it's more of an energy thing. When I was into lifting there was a bar set up where they created all kinds of stuff and we would get some really yummy creatine shakes after the workout. I went with milk, chocolate protein mix, fruit of some sort, and a big dosage of creatine. Came out really thick and tasted really really good after a hard workout.
YMMV.

I asked my personal trainer and he said the creatine for women thing is a scam. It doesn't make you bulk up any less than regular creatine. So if creatine does work (and I'm a little skeptical), it should work for you.

Thanks- Yeah I'm not going for the women stuff it looked well a little sketchy, couldn't really figure out what it was for. I started the other stuff and will give it a shot keeping in mind what your trainer said and if i get no results in a month I'll quit taking it. I'll let you know if it works for me at all.
Thanks for the info very helpful!
