Tbh, first thing that came to mind as a cartoon called The Powerpuff Girls. Yeah it was directed towards female children, but that show kicked major butt and a ton of my guy friends watched it too. You should look into it if you've never heard of it, rekindles childhood feelings :P

Oh ha ha guys yes that's actually an old running joke since the show started. Truth be told the town is actually quite small and as of yet i haven't seen any monkeys with giant brains or 3 flying girls
