Title: I Don't know what to do next! Someone help please.
Post by: hagins07 on April 05, 2013, 05:56:27 PM
So I'm very new to all of this. I first heard about m2f in my senior year of high school in a psychology class. It peaked my interest then but I didn't pursue it. Just recently I thought about it again. I know one thing and that is I wanna be a girl. Ever since I was little I've always wanted to be. I played with Barbie instead of GI Joe. I use to steal my little cousins dresses and panties and put them on while I played with the Barbie's. I like feminine things like I love the movie the Notebook. I've read twilight like 20 times. Every time I act like a girl its like a giant weight is off my shoulders and I feel happy. I've got a couple of outfits that kinda fit that I'll wear at the house. The outfits are everything shirt, pants, bra, panties.I even sleep in a silk blouse and a pair of panties every night. So I've already known I want to be a girl. But I don't have any idea what to do from here, now that I've come to terms with myself.

Coming to terms with yourself is a big step, congratulations!  Lots of us talk to gender therapists to help work out our issues, but if you don't think you have any other problems and that you don't need professional guidance then you could seek out an informed-consent endocrinologist.  I suggest talking to your friends and family first, especially people who will be supportive of you since you'll need all the support you can get :).

Welcome to Susan's.

What to do next?

* Look for gender support group or other transgender people in your community. Is there a PFLAG or LGBT organization near you?

* Try to find a gender therapist, someone who is experienced in working with transgender people.

* Read posts in the Susan's forums. I've learned an incredible amount.

* Have fun! Enjoy the ride as you explore your new identity.

Hello Hagins07, welcome from sunny southern California.

It certainly sounds like you are happier, or identify better with a female gender presentation.  That would suggest that you are transgendered, but not necessarily transsexual.  There are many transgender expressions - meaning ways to express yourself.

Like others have mentioned, working with a therapist might help you sort out those feelings.

Hi Hagins07, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 10740. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FAnimals%2Fferret-3.gif&hash=f49e2f86761323f2abd9c33941920389dbb3b10f)
