Title: Breast Veins
Post by: brandibaz on April 06, 2013, 02:34:56 AM
Hello girls, I am new to the site.  I have been on HRT with my Dr. for the past month and was wondering if any other girls out there noticed more veins on their breasts.  They do not stick out, but when I look in the mirror there seem to be more veins, or at least more noticeable veins across my chest.  I don't have a check up for two months so thought I'd ask here.

Yes, when my breasts started growing from a AA cup to a small B (due to weight gain) I noticed vague veins on my left breast.
Not on my cheast though.

I've browsed on the internet looking for pictures of natural cis breasts and noticed some ciswomen have them too, to some degree.

Some have them on their breasts only, some have them on their chest too, some don't seem to have them visibly at all.

Well, while I don't have veins visible on my breasts... I am aware that it is quite a normal phenomenon. I wouldn't be too worried about it, if I were you - there may be cosmetic options to reduce the appearance of the veins, if you really don't like them, but they're neither a threat to your health, nor are they freakish, weird, strange, or odd.

It's perfectly normal. It's a combination of the way that skin gets thinner on HRT (so veins are more visible), the area is getting more blood supply to support growth (so veins may enlarge a bit), and there's just plain more surface area than on a flat chest (so more space for veins to show through).  Not everyone gets/has them, but really, that's true of just about every physical feature. :)
