Hi I am starting my hormones April 19th hopefully. Im not too feminine in the face nor am I masculine. When I put on makeup and a wig I pass for a girl so I guess I have a feminine face structure high cheekbones etc.
More so I look like a kid people always assume im 14-15 years old. But my main concern is my body, here are my stats. Im 5'10 170lbs, chest:38 inches, shoulders:18 inches(across), waist:33 inches, neck:15 inches, arms:12 inches. quads:21 inches. Im really concerned about my back. I have a wide muscular back and it looks so manly and athletic I hate it. I dont even work out its just natural muscle. Im not buff anywhere else but my back, my legs are nice and toned but there not manly, I have a pretty small waist and some hips. My shoulders are broad but im tall and lean so it doesnt look that bad. It just my back and my traps on my shoulders. So will they go away and what do you guys think I should expect starting hrt young. (using my measurements also) THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! :)

HRT definitely decreases muscle mass, so you're fine on that front.
It sounds like you'll be absolutely fine tbh.

I was going to reply yesterday but wanted to look at some old photos of myself first. Then I forgot about it. Oh well, old age. :) But you really have nothing to worry about, and changes from HRT for younger girls can be incredible. Even with older women like me who are way over weight there's real changes. And I had a lot of muscle from heavy physical labor to go with the fat. And everything is going away. Even those parts that were nearly all muscle (calves and forearms) have shrunk a lot and look a lot more feminine.
So get ready to loose strength because it will happen. And you'll probably get a little frustrated when it's more difficult to lift or carry things. But you can smile and be happy because it's a wonderful part of transition.

I think it's hard to say. Age is important but it's important to remember also that genetics matter more then age. Put it this way: If YOU start HRT at 18, YOU will have better results than YOUR 30-year-old self. However, another trans person who is say 28, could have better results then YOU because SHE has good genetics. Of course, said 28 year old would have had better results if SHE started at 18 but maybe she had parents that made her suppress herself. But I digress. So while age is important, what's also important is your starting point, i.e. how femme your face structure is. Size isn't as important as woman come in all shapes. And HRT will reduce muscle mass but this will take time and nothing is certain with HRT. It's like a lottery. 18 inch shoulders aren't bad at all so your should be fine and will prob respond really well. Your other measurements are quite good as well.
