Well I missed this area of the forum when I first posted. Anyway, hey! This is a really nice website. This is just what Ive been looking for. So just a little about me:
Im 32 years old, and have been crossdressing for about 15 years. Technically, I started somewhere around 7, but putting on my grandmother's bra doesnt really count.
I live in Mississippi, where I have no intention of ever comming out. Only 2 people know that I am a TV, and they are my two best friends in the world. My girlfriend doesnt know, and she never will, though I love her with every fiber of my being. Comming out is sometimes a nice thought, but I have too much understanding for the non-understanding.
I am one of those crossdressers who every now and then goes crazy and throws all of my women's clothes away... so my collection has always been very limited. If only I still had everything Ive bought over the years!
Anyway thats enough about me for now. Its nice to be here :)

Welcome Dee,
Welcome to the life of crossdressing. What you describe is reflective of so many of our lives. I do think granma's bra counts, hey we have to start somewhere ;D.
I think that like yourself and myself some of us are happy to experience this side of ourselfs without sharing. Be aware though that there are risks of others finding out about us and the results can be less than what we would have hoped.
My own experiences recently were a little scary but have settled down to where I can be comfortable again.
Good luck on your journey of self discovery Dee and welcome to Susan's.
Shelley.

Debtv,
I liked your thread where you were "admitting to the negatives" associated with devaint lifestyles. It boots nothing to pretend they dont exist, and its good to get the negatives out in the open once in a while. Which brings me to this: I used to feel terrible when I threw out all my apparell, then even worse when I wanted it back. But I actually came to terms with even the crazy flip-flopping, all because I faced that negative and accepted it as "all part of it." So again I really appreciated that thread of yours :)

From a fasion perspective heres my thoughts. Styles change on a seasonal basis. All you CD's who throw your clothes out should look at it this way. As a TS I can't throw anything out as it might come back in style. From a CD standpoint... throw it out and you have to buy the latest fashion ergo you are always in style. Stop being so negative! ;D

My male and female clothes cohabitate in my closets, in my dressers, and on my body. This seems to be alright with my significant other and the children in the household.

I think we'd all be fine if we could control the purging think.
Don't worry dear it happens to all of us at one time or another, some more than once. :(

Better you toss the clothes than your SO tosses the clothes and you.. I've been there and done that... Had a SO that actually went on natiional TV, no it wasn't Springer..giggles...Wait till later on when they find the bottle of hormone tabs....Seriously, best policy is to be honest with a SO and just sometimes if the karma is right you find a keeper like some of us have...

Hi Dee,
I didn't get the chance to welcome you so Welcome! I've been there as well. I would love to have some of the things that I have thrown away back again. Oh well, out with the old and in with the new. For me though, it's just a long drive to places for shoes and such, and right now the internet is not an option. Hopefully when my wife comes around, I can order some things on line and have them delivered to our home. Wouldn't that be great! Again, welcome to Susan's. I look forward to hearing more from you.
Lisabeth

Hey Dee,
Great to meet you.
Like Shelly said,
Until I do begin to understand myself I'm not sharing this part of me with my wife.
But I know I'm at risk of being found out before I tell her.
As Shelly also said
Again welcome Dee.
Jillieann :)

Melissa and I are able to share some things. We wear the same top size and shoe size. I'm one size above Melissa in pants but I'm trying to lose more weight and then we can share everything. That was my idea. Saves money. We have so much fun shopping together. When Melissa was still acting like a "he", she never wanted to shop with me. On the other hand, I have a bit of a clothes shopping addiction (due to losing a lot of weight), and now Melissa does too. That doesn't save money. Oh oh. :-[

Well now you need to both put on some brakes. Melissa you know how expensive transition is going to be. Shari, you have a wardrobe that rivals Melissa's. She's going to need to add and I'm sure you love that as you get the chance to add to your wardrobe too. But, You have to expense. It's the only way to help Mellissa and from your posts I know you want to do that.
