After all the trials and tribulations of the past 5 months, I decided to make a transition video. I've been meaning to do this for a while, but kept putting it off because every new month seems to be way different from the last. Anyway, I finally found the time and the confidence to go through with it.

The members here are helpful, kind, and realistic to name a few of the great qualities off the top of my head. Not to mention the countless threads packed with contributed information.

Being able to share things with good people and getting constructive feedback are staples here, and it is wonderful what you are all doing to help each other.

Honestly, you are a huge inspiration to me.  Seeing this video gave me a huge confidence boast about my transition and what can be accomplished.  After seeing this  I really need to get on hormones and come out very soon.  Seriously thank you for this.  Your video really really helped me feel better.  I hope that I can be somewhat as cute and happy as you ended up.

Yes! Watching this video is a huge help! I've had a really hard week and a few of people have come to me (mostly out of the blue) to help and this is the new icing on the cake :)
It is so amazing to see the timeline in the photos and when I feel so stuck and going no where sometimes (okay, lots of the time!) it is so great to see how our appearances can change to who we really are. I just hope that I will be so fortunate.
One thing I have noticed in lots of peoples transition videos is how people go from unhappy to happy, but in your video you go from happy to ecstatic! :)
Excuse me while I spend the rest of the day dreaming of when I do my own transition video...
No time to dream! Now I need to make it happen! hahaha

Thanks Kayla, kasihnya, and Cookies!! I think one of the biggest changes has been my confidence and a lot of it came from finally feeling like I'm getting somewhere with laser. It's been making everything so much easier not having to feel self conscious about beard cover, and that's been translating into bigger and bigger smiles :)

cynths- I'm so glad that my video made your day a little better! That really cheers me up knowing that it has that effect on people and not the opposite. I think it's important to note that while HRT has changed my body a lot, most of the change to my face has probably been through hard work and experimentation with what works for me as far as presentation: makeup, facial expressions, and just as many little details that I can squeeze in there.

A few months ago I saw a really awesome quote somewhere on a beauty blog that read:

"There are no ugly women in the world, only lazy ones"

That really resonated with me deeply, and I began stepping up how I could improve my presentation in any way possible. It really made a massive difference.

I remember the other day you posted a thread about how you told your dad you were transgender, and he was super supportive and told you that life was gonna be great for you. I just want to know, has your dad had a chance to see how beautiful his daughter has become? I'm sure he would be so happy for you if he hasn't seen the way you'ved changed already :)

Thank you for documenting such remarkable changes in your life.  I loved the sense of sharing this transition with you to better music, even if it feels I am 100 years behind you in age and only 2 months in to my HRT.  You are gorgeous and, mostly significantly as others noted, you just get happier girl!

Ok, so I just watched for the second time.  The changes from zero to 3 months on HRT, wow... very surprising and amazing.  And the last 2 months, can't find words for that... except you are finally seeing who you really have been all that time, I'm happy for you!!

Im heading into the big '30' next year and hopefully starting hrt very soon and if i can look half as gorgeous as you do at 5 months... ill never have another fear or doubt again. :)  :D :D :D :D ;)

Hi Jenny, your video is truly inspiring.  I'm about the same age as you 27 turning 28 in six months and was worried that hormones woul have little effect on my body.

Nikki- I just love seeing all those smiley faces... I mean... I LOVE IT! Thank you so much girlie :D

amber, don't worry 27/28 is not too late at all. And it's not all just about hormones, I have put a lot of work into my presentation and trying to figure out what works for me. I'm still changing a lot, but it's soo much fun and I would not trade this experience for anything in life... Maybe not even being cis female ;) I mean I do have my off days (like the week following laser) but for the most part I am really happy to be going through this process and sharing it with people- and (in my head) providing a little inspiration seems like the best possible outcome of sharing something like this video. I love hearing about people who get pumped for their own transitions!! Sooo great!!

Same here!  I did come on here at Susan's a few times the past few months with a few posts.  The painfull illness I had this past winter didn't allow me to be on any my forums for not long and not concentrating on such things as keeping to the simple shopping lists or concentrating on working on an image in Photoshop.  It is nice to wake up from this painful wintry slumber and seeing some of my friends here on Susan's blossoming in the spring!  You Rock, girl!

Great results Jenny. Your no makeup one looks pretty good to me, how many times had you had laser done at that point if you don't mind my asking? We have about the same color hair.

I think 3 or 4 times. But it wasn't until the 6th time that I really started to get cleared out to the point where I was comfy enough to not wear beard cover in public. Of course even after that I had some regrowth, but the Tria laser is taking good care of me now :D

That's not bad at all. The results are pretty fast and yours seem great. Well yeah I love my tria too.

Looking good and it's pretty amazing how much difference in your face.... One year will be super amazing.

Thanks Jamie! Yeah I've noticed big changes even in the past month. Especially all over my body! It's exciting to no longer really see any male in the mirror.
