Just saying Hi... My name is Jenn, Im 33, and transitioned at the age of 19. I guess Im here, because no matter how caring or understanding my friends or lovers might be, they wont ever see the world the way I do. I have no trans* friends to speak of, other than two(online) which I dont talk to all that often, but Ive known them since I was 17, and they were instrumental in helping me.
Normally its not a big deal, but I just went through some major (non-trans) related mental problems, and I suppose dumping a lover of 9 yrs putting myself back into the dating game, has sort of cropped up some trans issues again, mostly in relation to dating. Although me and my ex were polyamorous we still never had any other long time loves, now that they arnt in the picture. Im activly dating. I suppose I stayed with my lover for so long because they never had any issues with my transsexuality, and it was comfterable. On the other hand, we were ready to kill eachother.
I think in the course of nine years with this person, I forgot how difficult it is for a transsexual, and finding someone to have meaningful intimate relationships with.
Anyways, not to be a downer, because I am finding what works for me. Welp, thats my short intro, hiya, howdy, and hello.
