I voted curved, because hopefully, they could curve up around my pecs and not look as noticeable. I don't really know if I could qualify for keyhole, but I doubt it. Keyhole would be favorable, though.

I would like the scarlessness of keyhole, but not 100% about the results.  DI looks better on some people, even those really small to begin with, regardless of the scarring.

I'm not too fussed about whether my scars are straight or curved, but I'm wondering if I could find a surgeon who would join the two scars together, that way it would seem to be less like they were something specifically to do with my pecs/breasts and more to do with the general chest area.  Maybe that's just my weird way of thinking though.

I have curved.  My room mate always says it makes my chest look amazing from about 5 feet away, so I'm not complaining.  I regularly go to the beach shirtless (in Georgia of all places) and have never received any questions, comments, or otherwise about the situation.

Now to just actually beef up the pecs to match their appearance =p

And I agree keyhole results are sometimes not the best despite the lack of scars.

What are some of the downsides of keyhole?

It can leave saggy droopy skin and it doesn't always completely flatten everything out.

Also, the nipple placement is pretty unpredictable.

I'm afraid that curved scars will make it look like there is still a feminine chest. /Shrug. So I'd prefer them straight if I have the choice.

Don't most cis men's pecs have a slight curve? I think so but really am not too sure. I don't make it a habit to look at cis guy's chests because it amps up my dysphoria horribly.

On the straight incision scars I have seen they look good on smaller guys. There is one older transguy I've seen with straight incisions (he's a stout looking guy) and it just looks off. I don't know how to explain it except it catches your eye.

For myself, I'm going to go with the slightly curves incisions (unless the surgeon insists on the other). I plan on using the silicone scar strips asap on them so hopefully they won't be very prominent after awhile.

Not sure what you mean but mine doesn't look feminine at all. I think curved hides the scars better.

Agreed. The curved scars make it look like I have really muscular pecs, not feminine at all.

I agree. I've never once thought curved scars look feminine. Men have curves under their pecs so it's a more natural look, which often hides under the pec or makes the pecs look more muscley.

^ I would have to agree, also. I would much prefer curved.

Mine are curved, which is what I personally prefer. I think the curvature allows them to follow along the contour of my rib cage better. It looks more natural to me, or as natural as scars can look anyway, haha  :) My scars are long enough that I think it would look off if they were straight; just my thoughts though.

it's not that weird thinking. i've also wished there was a way to make the scars look like they're from an accident or something, but... if i were to get this surgery i'd still go for curved since they're more likely to get hidden as time passes.

I didn't vote because I didn't have keyhole, but purse string (PACC). So an incision all around my nipple at the desired size and then a bit outwards from the original areola which removes a donut of skin. Then it's all sewn together like a purse string. So my scars are just around my new areola edge.

I've noticed this too. I have straight scars and I'm pretty skinny, so it works on my body. I think it really depends on your physique.

Mine are curved but I don't think it looks feminine...I think it flows better

I'm a bigger guy so I think curved would work better on my body.

Maybe that's why I would think they look more feminine. Being small myself, I focus more on smaller guy's top surgery results, and curved ones on them always look a bit off. At the same time, it looks natural on larger guys. Of course there are exceptions to everything, but still.

I didn't vote but just thought I'd throw another hat in the ring so to speak - my scars are vertical. About 2 inches down wards from the nipple (and around the nipple). I like the fact they don't look like everyone else't but I was heavier and have recently lost like 20kgs and now have extra tissue that I imagine will have to be surgically revised and I get the impression I will end up with horizontal scars.. and in that respect I would prefer them to be slightly curved so they sit right in my pec line.. But I won't know til I am done building my chest a bit more and have another consult....

Ive never seen that type if surgery before. I would like to see those results but I understand if you don't want to show them. Did you get your surgery don't in Aus? If so, who did you see?

Guys, i have been looking around and i could only find surgeons specialising in Gynekomastia surgery. Basically, this is the same like mastectomy, but this is a surgery for men who have breasts. Do you think i should go to someone like that and have my breasts removed or should i look for someone FTM friendly? (meaning he knows what he is doing and it's not his first time doing something like that). Because gynecomastia and mastectomy seem to be very close in the final result so i dunno if there is any difference...  ???

You should definitely look for someone with experience in ftm-surgery.

As for my scars, I assume they will be curved. Will have to get back to you on that in a few months. it's not something I've given any thought though.

@dean1229: I think if you talk it out with the surgeon you can be fine. Maybe he has done FTMs before and just doesn't advertise on that point. My surgeon did breast reductions/augmentations for women and surgery for gynecomastia afflicted men. All I knew going in was that he used the specific surgery I wanted. I got in there and I think he mentioned he's had his handful of FTMs, but still not like everyone is flocking to him. He also didn't have any photos of the work he has done on any men, but I trusted him. He had so much else going for him and I ended up a very happy man for taking that chance. Just make sure you feel okay with whomever you go to.

OK - so I am semi happy to share. Please I beg no negative comments. I know I need a revision (believe me!!!), but it is a damn sight better than the DD size chesticles I had to begin with - and having to bind in a humid, tropical climate. I got my surgery done by a local surgeon here in Far North Queensland, Australia. I was happy with the results initially but having recently lost 25kgs things are not exactly as they should be and I can now see where my pec line is, and he actually left some extra tissue in place to enable me to keep blood supply to my nipples. So yeah please keep in mind I was approx 110kgs when I had my operation and I now weigh 85 with major changes in my body size and fat composition.

You can see the lollipop type scar around the nipples and down approx 2-3 inches. I had the incision dehis (burst open) on the right and the scar is stretched sideways. And also I have some scar tissue that has adhered to my chest wall on the same side. I had complications on the right with a massive haematoma that required an extra surgery to be drained. And the left has "fallen away" a little towards my under arm - made worse now because of the extra tissue I have after losing some weight.
