Title: jewellery and tattoos
Post by: noleen111 on May 18, 2013, 03:08:41 AM
I was asked by roommate the other day why I dont wear much jewerly. I have never really thought about it.

I have one chain and an ankle bracelet I dont wear too often. I have two holes in each ear, which I do wear two smaller sleeper earring or studs 99% of the time. I also
do have some larger hoop earnings which i wear when I go out. I had my navel pierced last year, which I wear a bar through and I a bar with dolphin hanging off it. I only
wear this one if I wear a something where my belly button button shows. I love dolphins, i thinking of having a dolphin tattoo done on my lower back.

I don't wear rings at all, but I do wear a gold colored toe ring.. (My roommate got it for me when I started HRT, where it to remind of her support on my journey)

I am a girly girl, I wear lots of dresses, I love wearing and buying makeup, doing my nails and shoes :-) I have a huge collection now.. and my make up bag
is huge ..and I have at least 20 nail polish colors to choose from.My nails are almost always painted. (toes and fingers), but never got into jewellery

My roommate wears at least four rings on her fingers and has 3 toes rings.. she always wears something around her neck, and she wearing many types of earrings and many
navel rings. She also a girly girl.

So it two questions then??

How much jewelry do you girls wear?

and is getting a tattoo sore (I survived laser is it worse than that)

I've sort of settled into a few pieces for everyday. I have a silver chain locked bracelet and a solid silver bracelet on my right wrist, they never come off. I wear a garnet ring on my right hand and my wedding band on my left. I wear a silver chain with two locked hearts. I had double ear rings on each but I've allowed one set to close as one side started to tear and I didn't want it to go right through. So I have one in each other and tend to wear a choice of three ear rings, all given to me by close friends, I have lots that I have bought.

When I go out my necklace and ear rings change but that is about all. I'm not into tattoo's but a 'tramp stamp' would be something I'm considering. I'd have it for a special guy. I did see a woman with half a book on her back, I kept thinking that she did it so her guy had something to read while they made love doggie style, it made me laugh for some reason >:-)

I have a friend who had three champagne glasses tattooed 'tramp stamp style  for a friend who had died from breast cancer. Three friends each had it done. She said it hurt like hell.

I have slowed down in my tastes of jewellery, the pieces I wear all mean something to me, I have deep emotional attachment to them.

Goddess, no way that I felt that way even a year ago!! I would just wear stuff because I thought they 'looked pretty'.

Usually wear a nice watch, some bangles or a bracelet, and a pendant. Usually cheap stuff. I haven't started investing in expensive jewelry yet.

Sorry, can't help you there. Not a direction I ever see myself going.

I have about 13 different piercings and when not at work, they tend to have basic studs in them, although the nipple ones are new, so I still have the ones from when they were done.  but I am looking at a few nipple shields to go in and they are pink and heart shaped, but they won't be seen by anyone except my wife, so not a big thing.

As far as a tattoo goes, it will all depend on where you get it done. some just feel like a raw sunburn when getting it done, and some are sharp pains. It will also depend on who does it. One of mine was done by an apprentice friend and it was sore as ->-bleeped-<-, cause he was a bit rough, but his dad, who has been doing it for well over 20 years was gentle and it barely hurt more than the simple sunburn.

Sorry for a really stupid question.

I went through airport security recently and they got 'miffed' that I could not (would not) take my bracelets off. What happens with piercing's?

Wear a silver Crucifix nearly all the time,I have a Victorian gothic silver marcasite cross and a heart pendant which I sometimes wear instead.I usually wear silver pearl ear rings I have a few others,I usually wear stud earrings though I have a few hoops.Tattoos will hurt,i haven't any but friends tell me the thicker the skin the less the pain, and of course how big is your tolerance of pain so it varies from person to person.

Depends on the security to be honest. I can't remove the ones that are new, or they will close up. So I just plain refuse take them out.  I don't fly to the states much lately, because of this. They tend to be a bit rude about it. the older piercings have non-metallic pieces, so they don't set off any alarms. I can't say that I have much of an issue with the ones here in the EU. But I am flying to Spain in a couple weeks, so I will let you know if there are any issues. Will all depend on the security as I said. When I last flew to Spain, they did my paperwork, cause my last name is Spanish so, they just treated me as someone returning home. My chest is getting a bit larger, I just hope nobody wants to feel around to make sure they are just piercings.

I'm in Australia so basically telling them to forget about it and to use their eyes was enough, not sure about the USA though.

I want to get more piercings, I want to get another set holes in ears and get my right ear  cartilage done.

I always like to have a small stud in nose and when I dream my nipples done...

I do have a few big piercing myself, but I tend to replace them with non-metallic ones. I don't think even the big ones would set them off, but I do get a bit paranoid, when going through metal detectors. I am going to get a few more myself, but am running out of places, where I can hide them for work.

And I would definitely recommend getting your nipples done. I can say that they have become my favorite ones, ever. they are so sensitive and they feel so amazing at certain times. It was a bit painful do get done, but once they were done, I have never felt better about them or my breasts. Even my wife who said she wasn't into breasts, can't seem to stop playing with them.
