Title: Skin
Post by: xander on May 25, 2013, 03:11:57 AM
So after I shower the skin on my face feels tight, I guess that means it's dry. So I moisturise but then an hour or two later my skin just feels greasy. I don't really know what I'm supposed to do to take care of my skin. Advice?

Maybe the moisturizer isn't working for your skin type?

Try cleansing and moisturizing with coconut oil before bedtime (don't use soap). After about a week, the natural oils in your sebaceous glands will be stabilized and any blemishes / acne / blackheads reduced ;) CO absorbs VERY deeply, and is kind of a magic cure-all for skin problems even oily skin (overactive sebaceous glands). It won't clog your pores. I use it as a facial cleanser / eye makeup remover / moisturizer.

If it's still dry when you get out of the shower, you can use just a little bit (maybe 1-2 peas worth) and it will make your skin glisten without looking weird.

you have guy skin. that's all. As Jenny said it can be countered. I recommend carrying around a cloth to wipe the grease off your face or buying those grease absorbing acne pads that you can dab it off with. for my own face I'll exfoliate it to the max and then go to bed with heavy moisutrizer left on, and then take a shower in the morning to get it all off. generally my skin glows.
