Hands-free Whopper holder introduced by Burger King (http://www.upi.com/blog/2013/05/30/Hands-free-Whopper-holder-introduced-by-Burger-King/2841369962575/)

Burger King in Puerto Rico introduced a gadget that lets you eat its Whopper without the use of your hands.

Article and video at link

I'm not sure what to think about this.  I always had to use at least one hand with my Whopper.   ;)

That device would come in handy (pun intended) to a disabled person, but seriously  how lazy one must be to use it. Or are we that busy with our laptops and smart phones that we can't put them down while we stuff our faces?

It'd be good for driving and eating. You could hold the steering wheel with one hand, be nibbling on that and grabbing fries with the other hand. I hope it comes with a bib though.

That's what I thought it was for. Which isn't so bad. But still, seems like it'd be easier to just park for the short while it takes to eat it.

Yyyeah, I think I'll stick with my hands, thanks. And other sandwiches - they're hard enough to handle on their own; whoppers are, well, a bit of a whopper. ^_^

Admittedly, this is worse:

Three thousand calories in a single UNBITEABLE sandwich, boys and girls! It's called 'Widowmaker' for a reason.

And that is the purpose of marketing, to put a product on people's minds...for good or ill, so long as they/we think about it..."Oh man! I would *never* use that feed bag for a Whopper...Hmmm...a Whopper sounds good right now...but I won't buy the holder, just the burger...so I'm saving money now! Cool!!"

'Hands-free' whopper holder a joke, Burger King says (http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2013/06/04/burger-king-reveals-hands-free-whopper-is-hoax/)

The unveiling of a hands-free Whopper holder in a video that touted the device's appeal to mutitasking burger-lovers was a hoax, Burger King says.

The company said in a statement to CNBC on Monday that the video was produced by a Puerto Rican ad agency in celebration of the chain's 50th anniversary on the island.

"The video featuring a 'hands-free' Whopper Sandwich holder was produced by an agency in Puerto Rico to celebrate the brand and the iconic Whopper Sandwich in a humorous way."

Minka (Ukrainian Folk Song) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxY0fXu60AE#)

The tune is from a Russian song describing a young lady in love with a soldier. He goes to war and returns home 7 years later. She waited for him but got fat. He left her.

I used to have a hands-free Whopper holder. But we broke up.

I don't like Whoppers. I prefer Subway. But alas, burger was indeed king.

For a long time I said nothing. Smiling, eating with a barely noticeable shudder as she held meat-based monstrosity to my lips.

But in the end, I could endure no more.

We talked into the wee small hours, one cold January night. But no compromise could be reached.

It was a Sandwich Schism.

Things went downhill from there.

And in the end... it was very messy.

She left without saying a word, one morning. A solitary pickle left on the counter. A symbol of the final impasse we had reached.

A fast feud.

...

Sorry, I'm in an odd mood. ;D

Remember Red Foreman from 'That 70's Show'? One of my fine friends looked like a younger version and had a similar disposition  :icon_raving:  I often suspected that his tough guy persona was a front and that he was secretly gay but never said anything, that turned out later to be true

Anyway, his favorite phrase was "In your butt" and he also had a thing for going to the 'In N Out' Burger place and was willing to pay  8)  His unique way of inviting you was always "Hey, how'd ya like a little in your butt tonight?" But then he would be too timid to pursue it any further

Last I'd heard, he'd found himself a partner and they'd moved away together, hope things are going well for them

Wish there was an In N Out Burger place up here, kinda crave one of their combo meals sometimes

I'm very offended people are making fun of Burger King's hamburger trough feeder. It helped me defeat my anorexia. I'm now a healthy 462 pounds and have no concern of near term starvation.

Where'd my feet go!?
