There is a one or two threads lately about just that in which I stated some recipies, if you do a search for muscle, you'll get your answer. I could do it myself, but I'm kind of lazy... ;D

I'm actually looking for the same information, but I couldn't find it in a search. Could someone point it out to me?
Thanks!

I've actually done research on this and ended up with a diet/exercise program that has been working out for me (down 13 lbs).
Try and cut out most meats and protiens (keep some!). Eat as little as possible during the week, get most of your calories from carbs. During the weekend, do light pigging out (2000-3000 calories per day) to keep the metabolism up. Drink metric tons of water. Do endurance cardio (30-60 minute non-stop sessions, average heart rate above 166) 5-7 times a week.
Works great!

You'll lose more muscle if you get more calories from fat.
When the body doesn't have carb to access for energy, it burns muscles.
Also, doing high intensity exercises on a low carb diet, will make sure fat reserves cannot be used for energy (they take too long) and you'll burn muscles.
Carbs are protein sparing. Look it up on googles.
Low proteins, but not below a certain level that sustains internal organs (including heart).
The body uses proteins to systains body systems in use first in case of protein and calorie deficits. So, if you don't exercise a muscle, there's more chance that it will be used for fuel (catabolism) than an active muscle.

LOL
Some of these things are gong to cause obesity more than muscle loosing.
I use stretching to great result.
Seems to work really well.
Stretch those arms and shoulders to lengthen the muscles and tendons.
Good for health and lymf nodes too.
I don't have a problem with leg muscles unless I look like Lance Armstrong.
I ski, longboard, jog, ride my bike and walk all over.
arm muscles are kinda anoying because they shorten your neck muscles.
My solution to this and making my neck longer and thinner is to do neck stretching exercises.
lean you head to the right as far as you can while simultaniusly pushing your left shoulder down as far as it will go.
then rock you head back and forth while keeping the shoulder preasure on.
then switch sides.
be careful with this one, as easy does it is best. you can easily tear or injure a neck muscle doing this if you are not gentle
Every day is best. Continuity.

Building on the prior comment, I can recommend yoga as a great way to stretch out your muscles and also really get in touch with your body.

I am just starting my transition steps...
I see my therapist on Friday....
YAY!!!
But I used to lift weights and had(still have large arms)
But, I've noticed since I've stopped lifting, and keeping a semi low calorie diet, I'm surprised how my arms have shrank down so far....
I still have miles to go, and considering I'm fairly masculine looking.....
It's all uphill....
At least I'll get my cardio in...
LoL

Dont use them much :)
Eating less can help you lose mass/size BUT it can make you look more shredded too. (Bruce lee)
More fat on your body will hide the cuts and dips in the muscles too. (this is why bodybuilders bulk, then cut, then bulk, then cut.)
So maybe, lose mass, then add fat... but you could look more ripped on the losing weight part.
There is also the issue of health!
If you are very skinny or unwell, DONT try to lose muscle, try to put more cushion (fat) over it :)
Still do leg exercise such as walking, jogging squats etc because women have more leg mass than upper body but men have either equal mass or the "t-shirt body" with little leg mass.
If you struggle to put weight on, eat more and try to exert less exercise and vice versa if you have mass you dont want.
I know women that are 11st+ with arm mass but they look ultra femminine because there is both some muscle AND the girly fat on top.
Keep an eye on the stomach too, its HARD to get weight off of your stomach once it is there.
Sit ups actually ADD mass to your stomach because the ab muscles get bigger.
(If you hadtoo much face fat you wouldnt do face exercise ;) lol)
Generally more exercise and calorie-carb and sugar-fat control is how to attempt to remove any stomach fat.
The body really is a rubix cube and many points needed to be raised here as any change to your body can change other things too.
Ahh and increases in weight are usually kinder on the stomach fat if done >>>slowly<<< with good foods!
